2.2: What Items Are Required?
There are some requirements to catch a Chocobo. First, as I mentioned just now, you will need greens to feed to the Chocobo so that it does not run off, frightened, as you fight the monsters. To catch a Chocobo you must kill the monsters that appear with it.
You will also need nuts for mating. Most of them can be bought from us but there are two special nuts that are said to be used when breeding black and Gold Chocobos that can only be found on certain monsters. Here is the list:
