Armor
Power Armor
Relic Power Armor
This standard issue Blood Raven armor was manufactured between M36 and M39. While it is old, forging processes and the meticulous care of artifacts leave these power armor samples fully intact and have preserved their abilities. Due to the trends of warfare and increased suspicions of Warp taint during this time, psyker energy if impacted negatively.
Power Casing
Not much is known about how this Ultramarine forged power armor came into the hands of the Blood Ravens however there are speculations that it was given to the chapter by the Imperial Guard after the Kronus incident at victory bay as penance for Lukas Alexander’s heresy. The Imperial Guard came in to possession of it as a gift for the defense of a stranded group of Ultramarines by Cadian 412th General Ozzik Sturnn.
Heretical Blight
This power armor has a dark history and presents a stain on the nobility of the 4th company. This armor originally belonged to Isador Akios and it was stripped from him on the wastelands of Tartarus after he was corrupted by the Chaos Lord Sindri by Gabriel Angelos. Against better judgment the armor was kept as a reminder of the need for constant vigilance. However this act has not escaped Adeptus Mechanicus and has only reinforced the damning theory that the Blood Ravens are descendants of the Thousand Suns. This armor is warped by Chaos Taint but purity seals covering the armor keep it from directly corrupting the wearer, however in exchange the armor has a negative effect on defense and health regeneration.
Righteous Fury
This powerful armor was labored over for several decades by the Mars Techpriests. Woven nano-fiber encases hardened ceramite plating and metallic plates made for predator tanks to form a very strong defensive armor. Due to the heft of this armor movement speed is drastically reduced and psyker energy is drawn to sustain the wearer’s stamina when wearing it however part of the reason this armor was in development for so long is that the various seals and pennants that cover this armor were specifically developed for it. As a result health is increased and health regeneration is greatly boosted.
Master-Crafted Techpriest Armor
This small power armor is a modified version of Techpriest armor. It allows the wearer energy-based use of Repair Rights as well as an increase in ranged damage. However this armor provides little protection and is susceptible to melee damage.
Crown of Terra
Named after the Human home world, this most ancient relic was forged before the Imperium was driven from its home lands. It may be old but it still crackles with the now long lost ancient rights and seals used in the early days of the Imperium. This armor requires the wearer to wield a power hammer and it extensively amplifies the user’s power with them.
Honor in Flames
This power armor was worn by the infamous Primarch Angron, heretic and devout of Khorne, a powerful Chaos god. No one knows where and how this armor found its way into the Blood Raven Librarium but after many centuries it has been sealed and labeled as safe for use by the Librarians. As with other corrupted armor there are heavy penalties for using this particular armor and also some powerful reasons to wear this once blood soaked mantel into battle; the most interesting of which is that this armor allows any weapon wielded with it to gain corrosive damage. It is unknown why this occurs but some have speculated that the armor cannot be fully sealed and that this is some kind of Chaos power that is leaking through the seals.
Avatar of Strength
This famous armor was worn by Gabriel Angelos during the Tartarus incident as he did battle with the Chaos daemon prince Sindri. It was said that Angelos must have been blessed by the emperor himself that day as he took on the titan. This power armor gravely increases fortitude and damage resistance for nullification of ranged damage and at a cost of psyker energy and energy regeneration.
Powersuit
This oddly named power armor gets its name from fact that it allows for use of the rosarius as energy based ability. However there are some hefty negatives with this armor including a negative armor rating and when the rosarius is activated movement speed is greatly reduced for everyone.
Fury of the Emperor
This power armor was specially made for the greatest of the space marines. Several such units have found their way into the reliquary of the Blood Ravens over the millennia for their dedicated service to the Imperium against its foes. This armor has a low armor rating however when attacked by melee attacks it has a high rate of dealing critical damage to the attackers, however there is also a chance that the armor will also drain psyker energy from the wearer to commence the attack. This armor also boosts ranged damage resistance.
Scout Armor
Armor of the Elite
This armor was specifically created for Cyrus as thanks for his help in training initiates in the ways of the Scout. While wearing this armor infiltrate does not use energy however Cyrus’ damage is reduced a great deal.
Hunter Killer
Once owned by a master assassin of the Salamanders, this armor increases ranged damage greatly in place of decreased sight range, energy, and armor rating.
Nocturne
This scout armor drops the focus on infiltration and cloak and dagger tactics in favor of promoting defense for scouts under heavy fire. A favored armor of the Salamander scouts and named after their home world, this armor increases damage protection and has a higher armor rating than most other scout armor. However ranged damage is lessened while energy and energy regeneration are negatively impacted.
Ghost
This armor was developed by Meridian Tech Priests to counter recent intrusions of Eldar rangers in their city spires. This armor allows for weapons fire without breaking infiltration but sacrifices movement speed and damage resistance to achieve this feet. It also provides poor protection.
Gun Smoke
Forged during the dark days of the Kronus war this scout armor was designed with subterfuge in mind. While equipped per-use items will see their quantities increased due to the many interior pockets built into this armor. This design was chosen because it was not uncommon for scouts to be trapped behind enemy lines for days on end until their companies caught up with them.
Reclamation
This rare armor was once thought lost after the Ultramarines bitter defeat by a powerful Chaos lord. The scout master wearing this armor was crushed under the heels of a massive Warp Daemon as a massive Chaos force charged through the entrenchment the Ultramarines were holed up in. Centuries later this armor was found in the possession of the Eldar by the 2nd Company of the Blood Ravens whom were told to keep it for it was a shame on the Ultramarines and they would not take it back. This armor still bears the taint of Chaos but also has some curious modifications by the Eldar. As a result this armor is brimming with psyker energies and has the ability to reinforce through warp teleportation without the need to a beacon and allows for teleportation of the Scout squad.
The Immovable
This armor once belonged to a legendary Blood Raven scout named Marthilus. He was well known for his extreme stamina enabled by strong psyker powers. Some claimed he was even stronger than most Librarians and that he had been tainted by Chaos. Though it was an undisputable fact that he was a war hero and had once taken on a battalion of Alpha Legion Chaos marines single handedly. He fell in battle to the Eldar in M40 but his wargear was recovered and added to the Chapter reliquary.
Ether Phantom
Another one of the many Chaos tainted armor in possession by the Blood Ravens. This armor maximizes psyker abilities at the expense of all else by super charging the metaphysical powers of the wearer. An add-on by the Chapter Techpriests allows for a majority of this energy to be redirected to produce an overload effect on the ranged weapon equipped causing massive damage to all enemies around the target.
Death of Tyranids
As this name implies this armor allows the wearer to inflict bonus damage on Tyranid targets. Infused with Holy Scripture and special purity rights this armor channels small amounts of psyker energy into the weapon and chargers the ammunition with a potent acid that eats through Tyranid carapace on a biological level in a way that cannot be adapted to.
Paragon of Stealth
This armor foregoes armor rating to vastly improve ranged damage, movement speed, and melee resistance. It also greatly improves the psyker abilities of the wearer.
Dred armor
Tomb of the Interned
This holy armor greatly increases the survivability of the Imperium’s most venerated warriors; those who are encased within the mighty walls of a dreadnought to serve after death. Built with special repair rights and mono-molecular materials this armor can absorb some of the material from the enemies crushed under its claws to repair itself. It also boasts a high armor rating but slows movement speed and ranged damaged is greatly reduced and some extra damage is incurred due to the soft nature of the materials used.
Final Respite
This special armor was a one-off created for Daenyathos, a fallen dreadnought of the now extinct Soul Drinkers chapter. How this armor came into the possession of the Space Marines is still unknown. The last anyone ever saw of Daenyathos was when we dragged, only partially alive, into the warp by the last Chapter Master of the Soul Drinkers Sarpedon. This has led to wild speculations that Daenyathos had been revived within the Warp or that he had somehow been transformed into a Daemon for Chaos. Odder still is the fact that this armor is not corrupted, quite the opposite in fact; on breakdown of a dreadnought this armor will have a chance of repairing them to 50% health.
Mantel of Defense
This Blood Raven specialty dreadnought armor is created with damage defense in mind. Sacrificing psyker power in favor of higher structural integrity and stronger purity seals, this dreadnought plating provides enhanced protection from even the strongest enemies.
Vestige of Contemptor
This plate armor was originally part of an early Contemptor pattern dreadnought used primarily during the Great Crusade at the very conception of the Imperium. Melted down and reforged for a modern dreadnought this armor promotes intensity in melee combat not seen in most other dreadnought armor.
Mantel of the Psyker
This famous dreadnought armor was once employed on a dreadnought that held a Blood Raven Librarian who fell in battle do the Eldar while protecting a cache of dark technology on Cyrene. This armor has a low armor rating and decreased damage resistance however to make up for this the dreadnought is able to project an energy-based force field that soaks damage and has massively increase energy but with a small hit to energy regeneration.
Honor in Death
During the Tartarus Crusade the Imperium lost many dreadnoughts to the forces of Chaos. It was because of this truth that this armor was created. Upon the breakdown of a dreadnought this armor will unleash a powerful explosion that deals massive damage to any nearby enemies so that even in their final death the interned’s final act will be protection of the Imperium.
Corrupted Paragon
This corrupted armor came from a corrupted dreadnought that contained Sevarion Kranon, an initiate of Khorne. While Sevarion was once noble to a fault, during his imprisonment for insubordination he became corrupted after Khorne had insured the Crimson Sabers under his influence. After being confined to a Hellbrute he found himself on Tyrea during the Dark Crusade under the command of Eliphas the Inheritor of the Black Legion. There he found his final death at the hands of a Tau general named Shas’O Kais while the Tau battled Orks, Chaos, and the Eldar in a gambit for the province. This armor was later recovered by marines from the fourth company of the Blood Ravens during that conflict. Despite being a corrupted artifact the armor does not have a negative effect on defense although damage output is severely limited. Oddly this armor empowers flamer weapons.
Plate of the Sanctified
This mysterious dreadnought plate armor is suspected to have come off of a dreadnought from a previously known chapter of the space marines. The emblem on the armor is that of a sword piercing a book. As with much of the war gear in the Blood Raven reliquary it is unknown how they came to possess this dreadnought armor, it is another mystery of hundreds about the chapter’s past.
Bane of Eldar
This powerful armor protects its dreadnought from the weapon damage of the Eldar. How it was manufacture to do this is currently known but it is suspected that it was forced during the Dark Crusade when the Blood Raven’s had heavy contact with the Eldar. This are does present several disadvantages, however, such as lowering movement speed and increasing damage from orks.
Terminator Armor
Thousand Strong
This terminator armor was forged by the artificers of the Brotherhood of a Thousand Astartes Loyalist chapter. An interesting detail about this chapter is that it has adopted the insignia of an encircled “M”, M being the Latin numeral for one thousand. Oddly this insignia was also used by the pre-heresy Thousand Sons chapter. While the Brotherhood insists that it is a successor chapter of the Ultramarines some have cast doubts on that and believe that they may in fact be a successor chapter of the Thousand Sons.
Reckless Vengeance
This armor was crafted by the Silver Eagles loyalist chapter to remind and chastise the Dark Angels for their actions during the Narthex Nebula campaign in M41. On Calva Senioris a large Ork empire had formed and enslaved the Imperial subjects thereon. The Silver Eagles and Dark Angles joined forces to break this Ork empire and free many planets within the nebula. This join effort would lead these two chapters almost to all-out war. During the battle the Interrogator-Chaplain Asmodai took over control of the Dark Angles forces to go chase down a Fallen that has been reported on the planet. It turns out it was not a Fallen but an Inquisitor of the Ordos Xenos. Meanwhile the Silver Eagles found themselves surrounded by Ork forces and over half of the chapter was killed. After the battle the Silver Eagles demanded action, first, however, the leaders sent emissaries to the Dark Angles, not wanting to stir trouble with one of the most venerable Astartes chapters in the Imperium. Supreme Grand Master Azreal attended to the issue personally and ordered Asmodai locked in his quarters till he returned. In the end the Dark Angels accepted the Silver Eagles demands for recompense. When Azrael returned he asked Asmodai if he regretted his actions and Asmodai replied that he regretted not killing the Inquisitor.
Degenerates
This terminator armor was fashioned by the Techpriests of Mars for those chapters going into battle against the Beasts of Annihilation, a Chaos half-daemon warband. These creatures were once Astartes of the Imperium of Man and belonged to the Annihilators chapter. They had a horrendous infamy for being exceedingly brutal in their execution of their enemies. After the especially horrific Quietus campaign in M36 the entire chapter finally was overcome by Chaos in a single night after their exceedingly corrupted Chaplains led the chapter in a ritual of infestation, allowing daemons to possess them.
Saved From Corruption
The story behind why this armor was crafted still boggles even the brightest historians of the Imperium. The Charnel Guard was one of the several Astartes chapters assigned to the guard the Maelstrom, a very dangerous area of Ultima Segmentum, known as the Maelstrom Warders; a group made up of the Astral Claws, Lamenters, Mantis Warriors, along with this chapter. However less than 100 standard years later during the Scourge campaign Adaptus Terra suddenly pulled the entirety of the Charnel Guard out of the Maelstrom and tasked them into the Thanatos crusade in the Veiled Region. No explanation has been given for this action.
Dragon’s End
This is one of the few remaining artifacts remaining of the Dragon Lords loyalist chapter. In M41 all contact with the chapter’s home world, Erwynn’s World, was lost. While no one knows what happened to it the leading suspicious are that it was wiped clean by an incoming Tyranid Hive fleet or the now active Necrons.
Stoicism
This legendary armor is created by the Heralds of Ultramar, an Ultramarines loyalist chapter. It rose to fame during the second Tyrannic war when this chapter when they, along with many of the other Ultramarine successor chapters, were conscripted by the Ultramarines in the defense of Ultramar. The Heralds had the least number of casualties to their veteran terminator companies due to this very powerful armor while boosts survivability to the extremes while taking few penalties.
Fate of the Fallen
While it is not known absolutely it is suspected that the main cause of the fall of the Silver Stars was the destruction of their home world by Chaos. While there is some contention on this, there is evidence that the Word Bearers traitor legion descended upon the Silver Stars home world in a massive army and destroyed everything in sight. Overpowered by the enemy the Silver Stars fled in defeat, what few survived at least. When they returned to their blackened planet they found that most of the progenoid glands of their fallen battle-brothers had become far too corrupted for use. Thus the chapter quickly died off soon after.
Fury of the Tigers
This terminator armor is worn by the terminator veterans of the first company of the Tigers Argent chapter. The chapter is most noted for its participation in the Angevin crusade during M39. During the fighting the first company put down a small Ork WAAAAAGH! Headed by a none too bright War Boss that fell into an obvious trap set by the Tigers which decimated most of his forces. Their moral fled the rest of the Orks fled and the Chapter Master personally killed the Warboss.
The Eltain Martyrs
The chapter that is the namesake of this terminator armor, the Chorus of Eltain, was part of the Abyssal crusade in M37 as part of the Judged, a group of at least thirty chapters whom had not passed corruption tests to the satisfaction of Saint Basillius who later would be charged with heresy and sedition for his act of condemning the Judged to the crusade. While most of the chapters survived, even if tainted by Chaos, the Chorus of Eltain was one of the few that were never heard from again. No one knows what happened to them but it is suspected they were wiped out by Chaos or whatever other unknowns lurk within the Eye of Terror.
Nemesis Soul
This is one of the strongest Terminator armors in the Imperium. Commissioned by the Emperor himself, these armors were given to the terminator veterans of the first and second companies of the Nemesis loyalist chapter in commendation for their grisly work on the Culdron Born near the end of M41. This space hulk was once home to the Blood Gorgons Chaos Space Marines warband. The hulk was actually a living ship of biomass created from the genetic and biological experimentations of the Blood Gorgons. It took most of the chapter’s power but Nemesis was able to clean the corrupted hulk of all Chaos forces. For their troubles they uncovered one of the greatest finds to date for the Imperium; an STC for the building of communication relays.
Weapons
Chainswords
Blade of Glory
After the purification of the Kaurava system, in a show of unprecedented faith, Cannoness Selena presented to Gabriel Angelos this storied and most holy chainsword from the Sisters of Battle's reliquary; a gift in payment for the blood she and her sisters spilled from the Blood Ravens they encountered during the conflict. Said to have been blessed by the Emperor himself, this blade requires a warrior of supreme stamina to wield it.
Ork Biter
This chainsword cut its teeth during the Tartarus Crusade when the Blood Raven’s Fourth Company was dispatched to quell a Waaagh stirred up by then Warboss Gorgutz. This weapon chewed its way through countless hoards of orks until its owner was hewn in twain by a chaos space marine. The weapon was recovered and has ever since been recalled into use whenever a Waaagh breaks out within the Blood Raven’s purview.
Blasting Saw
This curious weapon is a one of a kind chainsword that presents some problems when used in battle. Due to the way it was manufactured each blade is tipped with an explosive charge that is replenished as it passes through the tang. These tips to explosive damage on contact with objects but it also causes some damage to the user.
Relentless Blade
This weapon is considered part of the dark technology that the Blood Ravens seek and destroy. For some reason this chainsword has not yet been disposed of and has actually found its way into active use. Thought to have once been property of the Blood Angels this chainsword will drive the user into a temporary fit of the Black Rage. It is unknown how this is accomplished or even how it is possible but while in this state the bearer of this weapon gains increased attack speed, damage, and movement speed in return for penalties to health and psyker energies.
Sword of the Sorcerer
This powerful psyker chainsword once belonged to a powerful psyker within the Thousand Sons traitor legion. It allows the user to dip further into the Warp and from that extract immense power. What is odd about this weapon is that it potentially links the Blood Ravens with the Thousand Sons. It is not known how the Blood Ravens came to possess this chainsword but those of the Librarium whom have handled it have claimed they heard the whispers of no less than Tzeentch himself in the back of their minds. Tzeentch is the most feared of the Chaos Gods because his servants are not only some of the strongest within the forces of Chaos but are also very adept and hiding their corruption. This God has never failed to ensnare mortals within his corruption, not even Magnus the Red has been spared although he staved off his own corruption for a good while.
Gutrentcha
This blade is not named after the Ork warboss but after its function. This weapon has been modified to have extra-long blades. Due to this it can rip through most infantry armor and deal lethal blows with ease.
Power Chainsword
This remodeled relic chainsword has increased attack speed. However due to the modifications required for this feat the motor that powers the blade chain has less torque and so does less damage.
Chain Lightning
This odd chainsword is able to generate static lightning using specialized friction-inducing gears built into the engine. After a short charge time this weapon will produce a strong electrical shock that will damage all nearby enemies with both health and energy damage.
The Corrosive Blade
This chainsword was found lodged into the carapace of a Tyranid lictor during the battle against then for control of Sub-sector Aurelia. Whatever it had been previously is unknown as the markings were corroded off over the many years it had been in contact with the lictor. However the model and colors on the weapon have led many Librarians to conclude that this weapon was used during the first incursion of the Tyranids into the Imperium. This raises serious questions as to why Tyranids from the Behemoth fleet make up at least some portion of the hive fleet that assaulted Aurelia when that fleet was speculated to have been a splinter fleet from the Leviathan hive fleet. Over the decades the weapon was imbued with a natural corroding ability as it absorbed the internal fluids of the Tyranid it was stuck in. However this also affects the bearer of this weapon and so removes armor rating when equipped.
Blinding Zeal
This weapon was blessed by some of the more powerful Librarians within the Blood Raven Chapter. As a result not only does it bestow upon the owner a boost to health but also has a small chance to blind enemies. Ranged damage increases while using this weapon.
Power Swords
Unerring Faith
This power sword is a testament to the fanaticism of the Imperium’s subjects. By putting their full faith in the Imperium they gain mystical strength unlike anything seen in modern history. It is this power that has pushed the Imperium of Man forward into the bastion of salvation for Humanity.
Limbcutta
This weapon gained its name during a historic battle against the Orks on Kronus. A squad of Blood Ravens were stuck behind Ork lines during an attempted assault on the Green Coast, the headquarters for Warboss Gorgutz. The squad faced a hundred squads of Nobs but still managed to escape. This blade, they claimed, was the only reason they lived. It sliced through the tough Ork hides like they were nothing, leaving trails of bloody remains behind it.
The Bonesaw
This is an old and storied blade. It was a tradition, while the Eldar were still numerous, for veteran Blood Raven force commanders going into battle against the Eldar to carry this weapon. The texts with in the Librarium detail that this weapon was once part of an Eldar Nexus on Malan’tai. The craftworld had fallen to Chaos and it was wiped clean by the Grey Knights. As a reminder to the Eldar of who cleaned up their mess a Grey Knight pick up several shards of a Nexus and later forged it into this power sword. The weapon found its way into the Blood Ravens hands over many centuries of battle.
Xcalibur
This power sword is one of the strongest in the Imperium. Forged by the emperor himself at the dawn of the Imperium it is unknown how the Blood Ravens obtained it. One theory is that it was gifted to the Unknown Primarch at his birth, another that it was in consolation for the loss of Cyrene, however other theories are more scandalous. However the Blood Ravens acquired it they have been granted complete ownership of it to the dismay of other chapters who feel more entitled to it. This weapon drains psyker powers in order to deal massive damage and has damage bonuses against xenos and heretics alike.
Absolution
This weapon is very strange for a Space Marine weapon. No records exist of how it came into being but the Librarians that have inspected it have surmised that it contains Dark Eldar technology. Through an unknown process this weapon is able to drain the life of its target and distribute that life force to all allies around the attacker.
Flamberge
This weapon was forged relatively recently to deal with the problem of marines being decimated by heavy armor. To compensate for this and the low quantity of heavy weaponry and vehicles to force commanders this weapon deals heavy damage to heavy infantry, vehicles, and buildings, however it suffers from a low attack speed.
Cleaver
This weapon was created a relatively short while ago after Adeptus Mechanicus had reported that armor plating on xeno vehicles was becoming thicker and harder to penetrate. This weapon uses mono-molecular edging to change matter at an atomic level. Normally such a weapon would cause untold devastation to anything it touched but certain rites have been chanted over the weapon so that it will only deal massive damage to certain types of materials; such as those that make up the vehicles of the Imperium’s enemies.
Brightsteel
This curious weapon has a clouded past. It is not know from whence it came only that it belonged to a famous Grey Knight for a time before being lost into the annals of history once more. It has most recently appeared on Typhon after a Carnifex was dissected for further study. It is not known how the weapon came to be there but it is a great boon. Made through rites that have been long lost this weapon will drain both health and energy away from the targets and replenish the attacker. However due to this it has low damage.
Edge
This oddly named weapon comes from a dark period in the history of the Imperium. During the Horus Heresy some of the Legio Custodes were mobilized with a task force of Ultramarines to conduct an attack on the capital city of Monarchia on the planet Khur; a world owned by the Word Bearers Traitor Legion. During the battle an Ultramarine dropped this power sword within the city and never recovered it. Years later, after the corruption of the Word Bearers was complete, a Chaos marine found this weapon and their priests tainted it beyond all imagining. For a long while it was carried by Lorgar himself as his battle weapon where it gained this strange name as it hewn through his enemies as if they were water. This weapon is able to instantly kill its target through a burst of attack power fueled by the battle rage of the user for a price of some health.
Sword of the Silent
This weapon came out of Sisters of Silence chapter. The Sisters of Silence were a pre-heresy chapter of psyker hunters. They would search the Imperium for untrained psykers and bring them back to Terra for training. No one knows what happened to them after the Horus Heresy but a few artifacts of their order remain. Such is this weapon. This weapon does extra damage to the Eldar and will drain a great deal of energy from the target periodically.
Hammers
Bone Cruhsa
A fabled hammer once wielded by Gabriel Angelos during the Tartarus Crusade, this hammer has seen its share of Ork blood. While it attacks very slowly it does considerable damage and even more so to any ork unlucky enough to find themselves fighting the owner of this weapon.
Hammerfell
This is an ancient weapon of unknown origin. The rites cast upon it date it to pre-heresy but that is all that is known about it and it is a mystery that Adeptus Mechanicus has been trying to solve for ages. No record of this weapon exists in their archieves and yet this weapon’s markings indicate that it may have belonged to a Castellan-class automaton used by Legio Cybernetica. Whatever the case may be this weapon is very powerful and is able to land crippling blows on structures and vehicles with ease. Due to its immense weight the wielder is significantly slowed and attacks are long in coming but when they connect shockwaves are sent throughout the ground from the impact.
The Thunderbolt
As the name implies this power hammer is able to generate an electric charge and dissipate that charge through its target and into the ground. This does significant damage to the target and almost always leads to death. This weapon does not deal much damage and is lighter than most hammers allowing for faster attack and movement speeds.
Fleetflint
As the name may suggest this weapon is fairly light and not as powerful as other hammers. This allows for the user to have faster attack speeds. The weapon also boasts a small energy detonation site situated in the middle of the contact surfaces of the hammer and will allow for on-hit damage and a higher chance for knockback of enemies.
Foehammer
This weapon was specifically created for the Inquisition’s exterminatus legions. These weapons deal a great deal of damage to non-Space Marines including Chaos forces. On the battlefield this weapon is one of the xenos greatest foes and they have come to respect its power.
Hammer of Fear
This hammer is widely known throughout the Imperium. It was used by an Ultramarine in the 1st Company during the incursion of the Tyranid Hive Fleet Behemoth. After gruesome fighting the likes of that have not been seen since, the 1st company was completely destroyed while attempting to hold the Northern fortress against a literal tsunami of aliens. Under a massive pile of xeno corpses this hammer was found lodged into the skull of a carnifex, the last thing it had ever seen. Even though it had only been hidden there for a few ours it already had been permeated by the pheromones of the Carnifex and was from then on able to break the morale of Tyranid fighters quite easily.
Titan’s Rage
This infamous and corrupted weapon obtained its name from how it was forged. During the 41st Millennium the Iron Warriors, one of the nine original Traitor Legions from the Horus Heresy, assaulted the Imperial world Hydra Cordatus. In that battle the Dies Irae, a massive Imperator-class Emperor titan corrupted by Chaos was deployed. It withstood battle with a demi-legion of twelve Imperial Titans before it succame and was destroyed by a Warlord-class Titan known as Honoris Causa. As a means of trophy and warning parts of this titan were selected, melted down, and then reforged into this hammer. This hammer is heavy, is slow to attack, and does massive damage. It also saps away the users health and energy sporadically.
Red Dawn
Originally a model used by the Blood Angels this weapon is capable of harnessing the power of the Black Rage. Not only can it do this but it can also cause a minor infliction of the Black Rage within the wielder even if they are of a genetic line that is immune to it. Thus it has earned a reputation for being a shunned weapon, but for those who are willing to endure its intricacies there are great powers to be found.
Mjolnir
Named after a weapon from ancient Terran Norse mythos this weapon could well be described as a God’s weapon. Doing incredible damage and stunning everything around it this Thunder Warrior weapon brings doom to its foes through burning ozone and rolling thunder.
Volund
This master-crafted power hammer was once wielded by Librarian-Captain Lucius. It was designed to funnel his already immense psyker powers through the weapon and allow for visceral attacks that could leave even the strongest ork shattered and broken in a single hit. Sadly it was damaged during a battle against Chaos and was never fully restored. Still, this weapon is quite powerful and is capable of occasionally unleashing a wide-range burst of pure energy, provided by the wielder.
Claws
Hand of the Tyrant
This is a mighty claw weapon. Taken from the smoldering remains of Comptemptor class Dreadnoughts of the Astral Claws traitor-chapter, these weapons were modified throughout the history of the Imperium for greater damage and fortitude to the dreadnoughts of the Imperium to allow them greater feats of ancillatory combat and as a reminder of the cost of self-treachery. Giant and weighty these weapons cause all manner of chaos among the foes of the Imperium unlucky enough to find themselves caught in the death grip of these weapons.
Crusher
This dreadnought weapon holds a special place in the hearts of the Astartes of Ordo Xenos. When used this weapon has a high chance of killing most lesser enemies out-right. The only downside, besides the gargantuan weight, is that it requires a veteran’s veteran to properly operate the claw.
Doomfinger
This weapon was pulled from the steaming hulk of the Warmongerer, a famous Chaos dreadnought that has housed very powerful and influential initiates of Chaos. This claw has been thoroughly tainted by Chaos but Martian Techpriests were able to lessen the effects through various rites and rituals. The claw itself is a marvel of engineering. Each segment houses explosive charges that explode on contact with the target and do area based damage to everything around it. This weapon can easily turn the tide of battle however there is a hefty price. Due to the effects of Chaos on the weapon all nearby allies receive movement, suppression, and damage resistance penalties.
Fist of Might
This semi-uncommon dreadnought claw is a particularly special-use weapon. Instead of focusing purely on damage output this claw increases grappling abilities significantly and applies a small damage boost sporadically to attacks. These boosts are followed by a drain in psyker energy.
Raging Claw
This weapon is somewhat of a mystery due to certain aspects of the affects it has on the dreadnought using it. This weapon comes from a long line of Blood Angels weapons and armor that make use of their historic affliction; the Black Rage. It is unknown how it happens but this weapon is capable, within the Blood Angels, of increasing the intensity of the instance of the rage. In other Chapters, however, it can cause a mild version of the rage in the user of this weapon. As with the other weapons and armor of this type how this is achieved has flummoxed even the Librarians of Adeptus Mechanicus and thus are used only sparingly and with great caution lest unforeseen effects occur.
The Grey Hand
This is a legendary weapon. How the Blood Ravens came into its possession none know. This weapon was once wielded by Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights, Aeneas. It is a historic and fabled weapon that has seen the destruction of many of Mankind’s greatest foes, the Greater Daemons of Chaos. Now it is being put to use on the front lines of what may turn out to be a new Tyrannic War within Subsector Aurelia. This weapon has very strong abilities with little down side. It was made to destroy xenos and it fulfills this task well. Boasting good damage and significant boost to abilities it is a mighty boon in any confrontation.
Hand of Blood
This is a tried and true Blood Raven original. Forged on the battlefield this weapon is all about dealing with the problems set before the fighter. This unique weapon modulates its damage based on the type of enemy being faced and is able to detect the type of enemy automatically by sampling some of the left over residue from the fresh kills. Based on the enemy type certain abilities are also introduced or attributes augmented. It is one of the most technologically advanced dreadnought weapons within the Blood Raven armory.
Ultrafist
This weapon has been used by the Ultramarines in their Dreadnought squads since the early days of the Imperium of Man. A deliberately unchanged weapon, while it may not pack the punch that modern dread claws do it makes up for this in nanorepair abilities. Back in the early days Dreadnoughts were a rare commodity and so the Ultramarines devised this weapon as a means to quickly repair units in the field even when no Techpriests were there to conduct maintenance. It uses the core of battle and synergizes from this gore highly dense ceramite which not only heals the dreadnought but also improves its durability for a time.
Saint’s Glove
This weapon is a very odd weapon for a dreadnought. It is not widely used and no one has any idea of when it came into production which leads many to believe it happened during the Horus Heresy or Reunification wars when things were chaotic. There is more credence aided to this idea due to the function of this weapon. In the later days of the Horus Heresy the ranks of the Adeptus Astartes, also known as the Space Marines, were quite low as nearly half of the Astartes legions had been infected by Chaos taint. This weapon some have described as the precursor to the Apothecary, however that would mean that this weapon predates the Horus Heresy although that is possible, in its function. While it has very low damage for a dreadnought claw it can heal massive amounts of health to nearby troops occasionally during its attacks. How this is accomplished is unknown as no one has successfully been able to decipher the technology and how exactly this weapon was built. Still, this weapon is shipped to Astartes Chapters that face great trials where loss of life in great numbers is expected and due to these measures quite a few lives have been spared from the xeno and the heretic.
Might of the Deathwatch
This dreadnought claw was once used in the Deathwatch. As an unusual gift for thanks of service Cyrus was given this weapon as a symbolic awardment. Now that the Blood Ravens’ 4th Company has a dreadnought Cyrus has brought this weapon out from storage and Davian Thule is putting it to excellent use. Being a weapon of the Deathwatch this claw does extra damage to all xenos within a seven meter radius with even more direct damage to the target. This weapon is very heavy and drags down melee ability, movement speed, and ranged damage resistance.
Flamers
The Death Flame
This flamer is much strong than most other flame weapons available to the Astartes. It was originally created for the Sisters of Battle, as an immolation tank weapon. The idea was scrapped and it was made into a handheld flamer for more mobility. It uses a special mixture of fuel that allows it to do more damage and has been used in some of the most infested wastelands within the Imperium.
Eradicator
This flame thrower holds a special place in the hearts of the Blood Ravens. The model was manufactured when it was discovered that the Necron menace was reawakening all across the Milky Way. With increased range and damage this weapon is perfect for dealing with the slow moving forces of the undead.
Burning Might
This weapon is fairly special. It was created to provide an ultra-long range solution for the problem of flamer units having to be fairly close to their targets. The range on this weapon has been greatly increased however setup and teardown times are required and the damage output has been reduced.
Inferno
An Ultramarine designed weapon, it has become standard issue within the Adeptus Astartes for situations where heavy flame power is called for. The damage of this weapon is severe but the range is very small.
Vengeance
This flamer was designed to deal with the fact that many a time Astartes that carry these in to battle fall due to the short range flamers generally have. This weapon will increase its damage sporadically as the wielder is hit by enemy attacks.
Conflagration
A specialized flamer belonging at one time to the Dark Angels chapter, this weapon was made to brandy fury and death to the enemies of the Imperium, be they human or xeno. To facilitate this, the weapon will occasionally unleash a wave of fire that burns everything around the Space Marine handling it.
Purifyer
This weapon was born out of Blood Raven ingenuity. Containing specially ordained fuel this weapon deals massive damage to Chaos tainted Space Marines.
Burning Fury
This weapon was designed off of a Tau weapon schematic. While the Tau may be xeno they are still very advanced and so this weapon incorporates some of their technology, and to great effect. This flamer does a high level of damage over short range and through a matter phase transfer array built into the weapon can heal the carrier by assimilating some of the organic matter being destroyed by the flame stream.
The Black Flame
The name of this weapon is not of the color of the flame it produces but of whom wielded it. This weapon was originally created by the Black Templars, a Loyalist Legion formed in the 30th millennium. During the second purging of Lastrati in M36 the chapter determined that the easiest way to cleanse the planet of heretics was through awesome fire. There this weapon was devised and its effect on the front lines was undisputed success. Through the use of super-heated materials and heavier ceramite for the weapon higher damages could be attained for no downsides.
Northern Light
This flamer model is used by Astartes of the Night Watch chapter. Not much is known about this chapter other than it is one of the Loyalist chapters from the Horus Heresy. They were also one of the chapters that came to the aid of the Ultramarines during the first Tyrannic war. The only other bit of information know about them is that they do not adhere to the Codex Astartes as their company strength is greater than the 1000 marine capacity set out in the codex.
Fists
Fist of Glory
This power fist has been passed down through the Blood Ravens for many centuries. It was first used by none other than Davian Thule when, in M41, slew Morgana, a powerful Chaos witch. It is said that this weapon crushed every bone in her body and broke her upon the steps of the Black Fortress in a single blow.
Relic Power Fist
Another ancient piece of wargear this power fist was manufactured at around the same time as the Relic Power Armor. Its design is very old and it lacks the punch of modern day fists but it will still get the job done with an increased knockback rate and a small chance to do area based damage due to the explosives loaded into the fingers.
Fist of Anger
Another one of the few Blood Angels relics known to cause the Black Rage. In addition to this though, this weapon will improve your strength and make the bearer weaker to ranged damage.
Stonefist
This weapon comes from the little heard of Stone Hearts chapter. They are a Loyalist chapter that sided with the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. Almost nothing is known about this chapter within Imperial records. This weapon does area based damage with each hit and stuns troops and vehicles. However, due to its immense weight, movement speed is reduced, ranged damage resistance is decreased, and the attack speed is very low.
The Gleaming Hand
This fist was developed to combat the increased use of morale breaking weaponry on the battle field. Any troops nearby an Astartes equipped with this weapon will gain increased morale and will not be able to be suppressed as easily.
Hand of Corruption
This weapon was retrieved from a fallen Black Legion Chaos Lord during the so called 12th Black Crusade. This weapon eats away at the targets morale and does corrosive damage within a small radius. However it lowers the wearer’s ability to defend himself as well as his stamina and strength.
Lihand
This fist is a very specialized weapon. Made from ultra-light materials it allows for fast attacks speeds and greater movement speed. However due to this its damage is not that great. This weapon greatly improves melee skill and bolsters the wearer’s Energy.
Hehand
The counter part to the Lihand this weapon is extremely heavy due to the density of the ceramite used. As such this weapon has an extremely low attack speed and hampers movement. However it greatly increases melee skill, the wearer’s strength, and can stun vehicles.
Hand of the Apothecary
This weapon was yet another one from the Horus Heresy era where apothecaries were not as wide spread as they are these days. The weapon can take some of its damage and convert it into health that then heals all allies around the wearer.
Fury of the Warp
This weapon was born within the Blood Ravens. It was originally used by Librarians to augment their lacking physical strength in the early days of the recorded history of the chapter. Since then it has found its way into service within all companies as a standard use weapon. Playing to the Ravens strength with psyker powers this weapon will use some energy periodically to cause extra damage by directing pure warp energy at the target causing severe psychological damage.
Term A. Cannons
Shredder
This powerful assault cannon does area of effect based damage on top of the usual scatter damage that these weapons normally do. This is facilitated by using bullets that have many score of small, sharpened fins. On contact with an enemy the bullets explode sending these fins through the target and into any enemies around it at the expense of some energy.
Cannon of Violence
This oddly named weapon is appropriately titled. The bullets explode on contact doing extra area based damage to the target and enemies around it. The weapon is heavy so movement speed is decreased and setup/teardown time is required.
Terminator
This is an incredibly strong weapon. Created for taking down the mightiest of Tyranid Carnifexes with a single shot this weapon unleashes a hell storm of damage upon the target. Very slow attack speed and movement is severely decreased and opens the marine to more damage.
Hail to the Emperor
This weapon is somewhat rare within the Adeptus Astartes because it is mainly used within the ranks of the Inquisition. However a few units find their way into various chapters every century or so. This is how the Blood Raven’s came to possess this one. This weapon has a very fast attack speed and unleashes a hail of bullets down range. The damage is lower than average however this weapon increases the wearer’s skills with ranged weapons and bolsters melee damage resistance.
The Black Iron
This weapon hails from the Black Dragons chapter. Created during the Cursed 21st Founding and then reformed during M36 after the Horus Heresy this chapter held immensely powerful terminator armor. They are known most for their involvement in the exterminatus of Antagonis after they and an order of the Sisters of Battle failed to purge the world of the taint of Nurgle. This assault cannon has a high rate of fire and does extra area of effect based damage.
Cannon of Penance
This weapon was originally used by the Dark Angels. As typical with most of their gear they took upon the act of using it as a means of penance for the Fallen and their betrayal of the Emperor during the Horus Heresy. This weapon is powerful but also have some highly negative effects and requirements.
Saint’s Wrath
This weapon comes straight from the Sisters of Battle. Used on their most powerful terminator warriors these cannons extoll the propaganda of the Imperium unto its foes in the form of a deadly hail of bullets blessed by the Emperor of Man himself.
Death to Xenos
An assault cannon used primarily within the Death Watch this weapon does extra damage to non-Human targets.
The Iron Curtain
This weapon has low attack power for its level however it can put down a tremendous amount of fire. Requires setup and tear down time but has increased range.
Fury of Cyrene
A weapon conceived within the Blood Ravens this weapon is made from materials mined from Cyrene, a recruiting world in the past before it succame to Chaos and was subjected to an exterminatus. Holding special merits with the Blood Ravens it boosts suppression resistance and morale each time an enemy is slain.
Term Flamers
Flame Tongue
This terminator flamer was given to the Blood Ravens in commemoration for their part in helping the Salamanders during the second Armageddon War in M41. This weapon spits out a blinding stream of fire that engulfs and incinerates anything it touches. It is claimed to be as powerful as a dragon’s, an ancient old world mythical Terran creature, fire by the Salamanders.
Heat of Redemption
This flamer weapon came into the possession of the Blood Ravens through unknown means. These flamers are well known in the more fundamentalist fanatic groups within the Imperium. This specific terminator flamer seems to have been fashioned out of a weapon used by the fanatic priests of Adeptus Ministorum, more specifically the Red Redepmtionists. Nothing is known about this sect of the Ministorum however the division is known for its severely uncompromising belief that transgressions against the Imperium can only be exculpated through death.
Blaze of Glory
This devastating weapon is based off of the immensely powerful Incinerator flamers used by the Grey Knights. These weapons use a potent form of Promethium that causes the flame to burn hotter and with more rage than your average flamer. Due to this the damage output and range are much greater. The Blood Ravens have added to this the ability for this weapon to build up pressure behind the nozzle and when it reaches a certain PSI expel a large amount of fuel in a semi-circle around the soldier causing mass destruction.
Seraphim’s Wrath
This flamer weapon is one of the treasured weapons within the Blood Raves reliquary. It is unknown exactly how they received this weapon but it was gifted to them as a boon from a Sister of Battle of the Militant Order Seraphim during an unknown battle. It is extremely powerful and has no negative effects.
Flame of the Hunter
This flamer hails from a little-known chapter called the Red Hunters. Suspected to have very close ties with the Inquisition this group has only appeared in two recorded major battles. It is not known when the Blood Ravens came to possess this flamer but it was a great boon indeed. Able of speeding up movement speed and improving the ranged skill of the bearer, this weapon has good damage and no negative effects.
Flame of the Dark
This is a specialized weapon used by the Dark Hands, a Loyalist chapter. They are well known for their ferocity against the xeno in the Aschen War in M40 and this weapon reflects that hatred. Build from the ground up as a siege weapon, this flame allows for mobility and decent damage.
Night of Purgation
This weapon gained its current name during a battle between the Blood Angels and the Chaos warband known as the Nightkillers. During the battle the regiment of Blood Angels was whittled down to two Devastators, one siege dreadnought, and a terminator equipped with this weapon. They held out the five days against the Nightkillers that it took for reinforcements to arrive, surviving against incredible odds. Sadly they were not without injury and the dreadnought was severely damaged causing the final death of its occupant. How this weapon ended up with the Blood Ravens is unknown.
Flame of the Emperor
This weapon hails from the virtually unknown Emperor’s Hands chapter. Their terminators carry around powerful inferno flamers that use an extra potent mix of Promethium, even more so than normal inferno flamers. This allows for even greater damage and a much more deadly set of attributes.
Heaven’s Fire
During a battle in the first Tyrannic war one chapter illuminated their valor by taking on an entire legion-hoard of the xenos in a last bet stand for protecting a world being attacked by a small invasion force of the hive fleet Behemoth. These company soldiers were terminators to the last and all bore these weapons which they attributed their victory to. These men were of the Angels of Iron Loyalist chapter. The weapons themselves are standard use terminator flamers however the chapter librarians added several special purity seals which gave their weapons very powerful enchantments and allowed for greater damage against the Tyranids and greater range and skill with ranged weapons. These seals also allowed for matter stream healing.
Dragon’s Fire
This weapon is used primarily within the Loyalist chapter the Black Dragons. They have perfected the manufacturing of Promethium and can extract such purity from the process that their inferno flamers can burn even bone into ashes with direct contact to the fire. These weapons have since become highly sought after by the other chapters who face some of the Imperium’s greatest foes.
Storm Bolters
Fury of the Ecclesiarchy
"From the xeno, to the witch, to the mutant, to the heretic; thou shalt feel the holy bite of mine maw!" Inscription on this weapon. One of the few terminator weapons produced by the Sisters of Battle this storm bolter is a historic weapon used in a monolithic battle between the Sisters of Battle and the Dark Eldar during the Soul Storm; the war between many factions in the Kaurava system. Reports can be found where it claims that the holy bullets this weapon fires completely shredded in twain the enemies of the Imperium of Man. While these claims may be dubious, what is not is the power of this weapon.
Consuls Folly
This weapon was created as a remembrance piece of a great embarrassment suffered by the White Consuls, a successor chapter of the Ultramarines. During the liberation of the Ophidian sub-sector in M41 33 psykers decided to forge out on their own. The Imperium labeled them a subversive rouge element and called for their immediate detention. The White Consuls heeded the call and captured the psykers but sustained heavy losses when the psykers managed to escape again. The White Consuls now bear this storm bolter as a means of penance for their failure.
Minotaur’s Rage
During the Second Tyrannic war there were many astounding stories of feats of bravery however there is one in particular that exemplifies that which is Space Marine. The story begins on the planet of Espandor, a remote planet in the Ultramar Empire. When Hive Fleet Kraken crashed down onto the Ultramar Empire the Imperium scrambled to generate response teams to help protect the Imperium’s most venerated chapter, the Ultramarines, worlds. This is how a small detachment of seventy space marines from the White Minotaur chapter came to be present on Espandor. No one knows why but Kraken took a keen interest in this planet even though its resources were hardly worth defending and so a huge Tyranid presence on the planet was established. It would have taken hold and rooted into the plant itself if not for the self-sacrificing methods of the Minotaurs. Almost to the last they fought against the Tyrannic hoard and finally, with their ranks broken and only three surviving marines, reinforcements arrived and the final hive cluster on the plant was wiped out. Among them these seventy warriors slew over a billion Tyranids. They claim they owe their success to these storm bolters which have incredible damage, rate of fire, low cool down, and longer range.
Blessed Thaumaturgy
This weapon is used exclusively by a chapter known as the Exorcists. Believed to the successor chapter of the Grey Knights this weapon is reserved for the 1st company, also known as the Enochian Guard which is named after the first chapter master of the Exorcists. This weapon played a great role during the Aschen War in M40 when these weapons were all that stood between total defeat by destruction at the hands of a Daemon Prince and total victory. This weapon does incredible damage but it has some hefty penalties.
Roar of The Keshig
This storm bolter is one of the few remaining models still in use within the Imperium; it is a very old weapon. These were used by the Keshig, an honor guard made up from the elites of the V Legion pre-heresy that protected Primarch Jaghatai Kahn, of the White Scars Loyalist legion. This weapon has the highest firing and cool down rates of all the storm bolters ever produced in the Imperium and is one reason why there are so few left; most are destroyed by extreme overheating that occurs when this weapon has been used for long periods of time.
Shadowmaw’s Ascension
Named after the previous chapter master of the White Panthers who died at the hand of mutants whom had allied themselves with the Alpha Legion on a planet in the Dyathi Cluster in M41, this weapon does extra damage to Orks and other mutants.
Storm of the Warhark
This storm bolter was created by the Warhawk chapter for the furious assault charges their terminator squads are known for. Immense rates of fire and low cool down times make these weapons very formidable. The only drawback is that these specifications mean that they have a very short range and are essentially like sawed off shotguns, the storm bolter barrel has been cut back to improve both the fire rate and cool down times but sacrificing range.
The Widowmaker
Named after the chapter that created it, the Widowmakers chapter, this weapon is very deadly. It has a very high damage out put that is offset by its low fire rate. The cool down rate is almost none existent due to that same low firing rate and the range is increased due to a longer barrel.
Might of the War Bearers
The War Bearers are an infamous chapter because of this weapon. During the battle of Second Armageddon three companies from the War Bearers were sent to assist in driving the enemies of the Imperium off-world. All was going fine until Chaos Alpha legion forces showed up, at that point it became a standoff between the War Bearers and the enemy forces. Thus is how their librarian-terminators were put on the front line. These weapons channel psyker powers through the bolters and energize the ammunition allowing it to do greater damage while consuming energy. When the commander of the platoon of the Alpha Legion analyzed this move he sent his sorcerers and cultists to try and corrupt these individuals and succeeded. All three companies were wiped out by the now immensely powerful terminators whom have been corrupted by Chaos daemons. The chapter was humiliated that day and has since stopped allowing their librarians to serve in active duty as terminators and stopped producing this weapon. It is unknown how the Blood Ravens obtained one.
Litany of the Hound
This unique weapon is extremely old, forged before the Great Crusade. It was used within the chapter that was then known as the Warhounds. This ill-fated chapter would later be known as the World Eaters. This is one of the few remaining relics of the chapter before it fell to Chaos. There is not much special about it in terms of a storm bolter but it does have the ability to unleash extra area based damage occasionally due to an overdrive function built into the weapon.
Combat Shotguns
Master-Crafted Relic Combat Shotgun
Another in the line of relic wargear, this weapon came from the Reunification war era. It was created with one thing in mind, high damage with a wide area of destruction. As a result this weapon does area of effect damage.
The Boomstick
This combat shotgun has seen many an ork waaagh! to a gritty end. Doing fairly high damage for this class of weapon it shreds through armor on heavy troops as well as doing extra damage to orks. This weapon has no effect on vehicles.
Grenadier
This is a specialized weapon requested by Cyrus during the early days of the Aurelian crusade. It was manufactured and being shipped to Calderis when the thunderhawk carrying it was shot down. This weapon allows Cyrus to use grenades by placing them into special holsters built into the side of the gun.
Death Overloaded
This weapon is a specialty weapon hailing from the Death Knights chapter. Almost nothing is known about this chapter except for the tales of this weapon. During one of the Death Knights crusades they ran out of heavy bolters. So in the field their Techpriests improvised combat shotguns to allow for rapid firing rates to make up for the loss of those heavy bolters. It worked to great effect and the design was adopted as a chapter standard.
Heavy Combat Shotgun
This generic weapon was created when Chaos forces started putting more heavy infantry and vehicles on the front lines with the specific task of hunting scouts. These weapons were the first step in a gradual increase in firepower for scouts to allow them to keep doing their all too important task. This weapon has increased damage and can do damage to vehicles however it slows down movement speed and has a slow firing rate and high cool down.
Lion’s Roar
This unique combat shotgun is normally used within the Celestial Lions chapter. Several of these weapons made their way into some chapters during the Khattarn Insurrection in M41. During the fight they were forced to abandon their monastery-fortress. In the end they won out however this was not enough for the Inquisitor Apollyon in charge of the fleet in the area and he ordered an exterminatus of the planet Khattarn. Visibly shaken by this act a series of vocal protests from the Celestial Lions begin against the Inquisition. They amounted to nothing though and hence forth refused to work with the Inquisition. During those protests several veteran members of the chapter threw down their arms or discarded them on battlefields across the Imperium. The weapons themselves are not too special but they do allow for area of effect damage, proximity damage, and every so often discharge a burst of electricity that is built up by the friction of bullets passing through the barrel.
Raging Dragon
This combat shotgun is used primarily within the Star Dragons Loyalist chapter. This particular model was a one-off edition, customized for a vicious battle with Chaos forces during the space battle between the Inquisition and a Chaos Warfleet. During the battle a squad of Star Dragons was teleported into a Chaos space hulk called the Accursed Eternity wherein they proceeded to figure out what was stored within it and ultimately to destroy the vessel. All was not as it seemed and soon the joint Star Dragon/Blood Sword taskforce found themselves fighting Chaos daemons left and right. After the battle the terminators of the Blood Swords squad said the only reason they survived was the strength of these one-off weapons wielded by the Star Dragons.
Bite of the Scorpion
This unique weapon was forged, originally, within the Star Scorpions chapter. This is one of two known combat shotguns to still exist. The chapter is considered dead after Adeptus Mechanicus ruled that their gene-seed was too corrupted to reconstitute. It is unknown why the gene-seed of this chapter was so susceptible to corruption but the effect on the chapter was devastating. This weapon has high damage and can cause, at a small chance, poison-like damage that will be dealt over time.
Lamentus Paladius
This offhanded named weapon comes from the ill-fated Imperial Paladins chapter. They were disgraced in M41 when the chapter broke down into a civil war after their chapter master died over the territories that they had conquered. The Imperium was swift and merciless to act and sent the Minotaurs chapter to clean up the civil war and put an end to the now accused heretics that had started the uprising. The Minotaurs were completely ruthless and hunted down every last defector to the man and killed them, running an agri-world in the process when Chaos corrupted Astartes were found on Nereus.
The Pale Horse of Idharae
This weapon was a rare unique weapon produced by the most skilled craftsmen in the Invaders chapter. It was created to commemorate the destruction of Craftworld Idharae by the chapter; one of their most signature achievements. The weapon does extreme damage to Eldar and has some extra abilities against them.
Plasma Guns
Fury of the Angel
This weapon was forged by the artificers from the Angels of Vengeance Loyalist chapter. They are a progeny of the Blood Angels and thus suffered from their notorious affliction, the Black Rage. This weapon is yet another one in a line of such weapons and armor that can cause a mild infliction of the Black Rage in the bearer. This weapon handles it much differently than others however. Instead of sending the marine into a blinding rage the marine experiences a massive boost in their faculties for a short time, allowing them greater range and accuracy as well as several odd abilities caused by some component of psyker interaction. This weapon underwent strict scrutiny from Adeptus Mechanicus because of this psyker component and though there might be implications that might lead to corruption through touching the Warp while using this weapon though they were never solidified.
Vermillion Shame
This unique weapon comes from the Blood Angels successor chapter the Angels Vermillion. This weapon grants high rate of fire and great damage for stoicism, damage resistance is severely decreased.
Vicar of Man
This holy weapon was first found by the Angels Prophyr Loyalist chapter. It was found in the wastelands of Armageddon during the second war for the hiveworld. No one, not even Adeptus Mechanicus, knows from which chapter this weapon emerged from but it is the only such weapon found of its kind. Most Space Marine weapons are balanced between their positives and negatives however this weapon has no negatives. Some have gone so far to call this weapon a physical manifestation of the Emperor’s immaterial power gifted to the Adeptus Astartes for their fearsome devotion to the cause in defending the hive world; it is one of the most fearsome plasma guns in existence.
Cry of Fenris
This is a very unique weapon. It is only one of a very few weapons within the Imperium that’s origins are completely unknown in terms of how it was made. This weapon’s origin story is even more suspicious as it was found on a Death World for which it bears a namesake. Found by a special platoon of Death Spectres squads upon Fenris on a mission of gene-seed recovery the weapon is quite fearsome. Fenris is a planet completely overrun by the Tyranids; the ecosystem is completely warped to suit the needs of the hive. This weapon was found lodged in the mouth of a Lictor-supremus; a new species of Lictor that can control multiple lesser Lictors in addition to legions of hive creatures. The battle was great and bloody and long but the Death Spectres came out on top in the end and this was their only reward. The gene-seed they were after had already been completely corrupted by the environment.
Spear of the Hunter
This oddly named plasma gun is named after a mythical weapon owned by the Dark Hunters. It was lost on a planet within the Eye of Terror during an ill-fated mission to try and cleanse some of the worlds of Chaos in M39. This weapon does significant damage and removes some protection from enemies around the target allowing them to suffer greater injuries. This effect can be stacked for great effect. The spear was said to have similar abilities except that it could ignore armor completely, something that cannot be duplicated with the current age’s technology.
Curse of the Death
This weapon is standard issue within many Death Companies. Death Companies are used in almost all of the Blood Angels successor chapters. Marines who show signs that they are succumbing to the Black Rage in full are hastily placed into these companies where they are given a chance for an honorable death. Once the troops of these Death Companies become consumed by the Black Rage they fight with all of the ferocity and insanity of a World Eater Chaos Space Marine. While this weapon does not cause the Black Rage as others do it does have some enhanced abilities.
Monolith
This is one of the very rare non-Titan weapons produced by the Imperial Hunters, a faction within the Adeptus Mechanicus’ Collegia Titanica. It is a low spec weapon that has a high rate of fire and a slow cool down speed.
The Red Terror
With a name inspired by the most fearsome Tyranid Ravener in recorded Imperium history this weapon lives up to that name in function. The Red Terror was first spotted on the outer world of Devlan. There is had holed itself away within the mines and used them to launch attacks on the mining camps. Eventually the Imperium was called in however all of their response teams ended up never returning from the tunnels. Eventually Devlan was abandoned however one of the fleeing shuttles made a landing on Adri’s Hope. What was found inside was nothing short of a blood bath. Three weeks later Adri’s Hope was nothing but a blood soaked ruin. This weapon does area of effect damage and also has a chance to do extra damage to surrounding units.
King’s Claw
This odd name is derived from the fact that this weapon was once wielded by Vetala, a captain of the Bakasurra strike cruiser of the Tiger Claws Loyalist Space Marine chapter. It had seen many horrendous battles due to the fact that the chapter home world had been swallowed by the warp and he and the rest of his chapter along with it. They reappeared briefly in M41 and had petitioned Terra to rebuild their chapter. Mysteriously what was left of the Tiger Claws chapter vanished once more and has not been seen since. The only thing that remains was this weapon which was found outside of the Imperial Castle several weeks after the disappearance. This weapon was effect by the warp and now has some strong abilities.
Peturabo’s Descent
This weapon was tainted by Chaos. Once wielded by Primarch Peturabo himself it now holds a dark place within the reliquary of the Imperium. After his renaming of the Eye of Terror, Peturabo and the Iron Warriors ended the Horus Heresy as a traitor legion. During the final battles of the Heresy, as the Imperium began taking the upper hand, Peturabo found himself battle against those Primarchs he had once called Brothers. On Sebastus IV the Iron Warriors laid an executed a trap for Rogal Dorn and the Imperial Fists chapter. During that battle a stalemate occurred when the Iron Warriors did not sacrifice themselves to destroy their enemies. The lull in battle was just long enough for the Ultramarines to arrive and provide safe extraction for Dorn and his legion. During the fight with Guilliman Perturabo discarded his plasma gun in favor of a chainsword. After driving back the tainted Primarch, Guilliman recovered this weapon as a trophy and a reminder. Years later some Artificers managed to seal or ward off most of the ill effects caused by this weapon and deemed it safe for use in battle. Even so it still augments the bearer’s psyker skills.
Plasma Pistols
Sonata of Albonian
This plasma pistol is relatively new. Created specifically for warriors of the Order of the Blue Robe, an order of Adeptus Sororitas, it deals extra damage to all enemies of the Imperium as well as heals the bearer while causing extra damage and reducing the armor of the target.
Achilles heel
This weapon was designed by Artificers of the Metamarines Loyalist chapter; a successor chapter of the Ultramarines. The Metamarines specialize in vehicular destruction however this meant that their troops were very slow and easy targets even with enhanced armor. So they came up with this weapon which is very compact but deals huge damage to vehicles. The problem is that the damage output to all other targets besides vehicles and buildings is very low.
Faith of Iron
This weapon is somewhat unique. Instead of focusing on damage output and other battle effects this weapon hones in on making the platoons surrounding the bearer of this weapon more resistant to moral breakage. Units nearby this weapon will not have their wills easily shaken nor will they ever succumb to tactical pins.
Antireaper
This weapon was specially made for members of the Inquisition’s Ordo Xenos. During several key battles during M38 the forces of Ordo Xenos were having problems dealing with a new breed of long range Eldar troop now know to be called Dark Reapers. These units were slow but had powerful weapons with long range. The Ordo Xenos forces were being wiped out before they could enter firing range themselves. To deal with this, this weapon was made. Several key modifications to current plasma pistols allow this weapon to be both extreme range and powerful however there are some negatives. First it fires very slowly and has a long cool down. Lastly it will only deal damage to infantry based troops; it does very little damage to any other type of unit or structure.
Chaos on Nedicta Secundus
This weapon was once called the Celebrant’s Flame. However the name of this now unique weapon was changed more to reflect the history of the destruction of the Celebrants. There are very few records on this chapter of the Space Marines however what is on Imperial record shows a startling breakdown of communications within the Imperium. Much of the chapter was assigned to Nedicta Secundus along with many Crimson Consuls companies in order to protect relics of the Imperium found therein from the Hive Fleet Kraken. It turns out this was an elaborate trap setup by the Alpha Legion. They attacked and completely wiped out the Crimson Consuls and the Celebrants followed soon after. This weapon eats through armor, does damage per second, and has a moderate firing speed.
The Red Dawn
This is a very special weapon that was once wielded by Rogal Dorn, the Primarch of the Crimson Fists chapter. Because the Crimson Fists were s small chapter, consisting of less than 500 Astartes, their weaponry was very special and allowed them to have more killing power to make up for their losses in man power. Because of this many of the relics from the Crimson Fists have great firepower. This one is no exception. It can do area based damage added on top of proximity based, to the shooter, damage as well. It has a very slow firing speed and high cool down in order to compensate for allowing this functionality within the package of a plasma pistol.
Sunder the Flesh
This weapon comes from the Flesh Tearers Chapter, a successor chapter of the Blood Angels. As with most of their relics it can cause a mild, temporary version of the Black Rage which boosts the fighting capabilities of a Space Marine greatly at the cost of psyker energy to fuel the process. This is an otherwise ordinary weapon.
Red Death
Here is another Crimson Fists relic however this one comes out of the Crimson Guards successor chapter. Some modifications were made to this pistol to allow it a higher rate of fire with little loss of damage. However as a result it has an extremely long cool down time.
Megalodon
This strangely named weapon is very old and one of a kind. It belonged, long ago, to the Carcharodons Space Marines chapter, a successor chapter of the Raven Guard. During the battle against Abaddon the Despoiler during the 7th Black Crusade several companies went up against his Black Legion forces. Fighting side-by-side with the Blood Angels they made some headway until the Black Rage started causing casualties to their side and gave Chaos just enough of a hold to crush their remaining forces. Some survived the first attack and those few Astartes managed to hold off the rest of the Black Legion until Thunderhawks arrived and bombarded the Chaos forces with an aerial attack. One of the Second Company’s most veteran warriors died that day and this was his weapon. Doing a good amount of damage to any target this weapon slows movement speed, has a medium rate of fire and cools down, lowers melee damage resistance slightly, and allows for some healing to take place occasionally.
Pride of Soul
This weapon was commissioned by the Imperial Fists in the late 41st Millennium in tribute to a now destroyed and deeply contested Astartes chapter; the Soul Drinkers. The Soul Drinkers were declared Excommunicate Traitoris by the Inquisition due to the rate at which they produced both mutated Space Marines and the rate of corruption by Chaos. However, the Soul Drinkers still considered themselves loyal to the Emperor even if his empire had forsaken them. During M41 the chapter aided the Imperial Fists in dealing with a plan of Chaos created by one of their own. In this act the chapter was completely destroyed.
Power Axes
Howling of Salinas
This power axe was found on Salinas, a world that was once warped by the power of Chaos. It comes from the Sons of Guilliman chapter, an Ultramarine successor chapter. As rebuilding commenced this axe was found buried under the remains of a very large Chaos beast that had been killed when a bank had collapsed onto it. It was somehow not tainted by the presence of the Chaos daemon and in face had been eating away at the beast’s corpse. Some said this was because of the owner’s immense hatred for Chaos that his weapon fought on even after his death.
Scarfang
This relic was once used by the elite veterans of the White Scar. This elite unit was known as the Fangs due to their use of edged melee weaponry over every other kind of weapon used within the Imperium. These weapons are made to both cut through heavy armor and do lasting damage to that armor once the attack has been made.
Crescent of the Corax
The name of this weapon is a play on words of sorts. Properly translated it should be “of the Corvus Corax”, however it was shortened to pay homage to the Primarch of the Raven Guard; “corvus corax” is the binomial name for “raven”. The Raven Guard is one of the original Astartes Legions created in M30 during the First Founding. They are a feared chapter both by their enemies and by their allies. This weapon has a quick attack speed and immense knockback resistance.
Axe of Iron
This weapon was forged within the Iron Hands chapter before the Heresy. Due to the principles behind the Iron Hands their Astartes often would replace body parts with cybernetics. This being the case the melee weapons of this chapter are much heavier and do much more damage than those of most others.
Edge of Fate
This aptly named axe was created by the Astral Claws in commemoration for the hard work of the Lamenters while the chapter stood alongside them in overseeing the Maelstrom. The Lamenters are a successor chapter of the Blood Angels however for some reason they do not suffer from neither the Black Rage nor the Red Thirst. How this was achieved is unknown however it is suspected that it was something the Techpriests devised. Sadly this breakthrough may be lost with this chapter. Created during the so called “cursed” 21st Founding this chapter has been on the depressing end of fate since it was established. It has been almost wiped out three times and many other chapters view them with suspicion since almost all of the 21st Founding chapters have either been destroyed or turned to Chaos. During one of their crusades protecting the outer worlds from the enemies of Mankind their war path lead them straight across the sights of Hive Fleet Kraken. This may have sealed the fate of the chapter as during one of the battles that ensued and allowed the temporarily delay of Kraken that led to its downfall, only four companies of this chapter survived.
Kormarg
This weapon is named after one of the bloodiest campaigns of the Star Phantoms, the Massacre of Kormarg II. The planet had, for two centuries, been under attack from an alien threat known as the Khrave. After defeating this threat once and for all the Star Phantoms realized that much damage had been done; most, if not all, of the population of Kormarg II had become warped from their two century long exposure to these xenos. Omadon Tiresias, the Chapter Master, was quick in his judgment and the population of Kormarg II were martyred for the cause.
Neckchoppa
This weapon hails from the Silver Skulls chapter and is perfectly suited to their style and rituals of fighting. The Silver Skulls chapter is notorious for taking the heads of their enemies during battle as trophies. Once the battle has been concluded they remove the flesh from the bones and then encase the skulls of the greatest enemies killed in silver. This weapon can deal a deathblow to almost any enemy of the Imperium.
Ultiminicion
This strangely named axe is actually somewhat of a one of a kind weapon. No one knows how the Blood Raven reliquary acquired it but it has its beginnings in a truly interesting story. In 887 of M38 a space hulk known as the Death of Integrity was seen somewhere near Vol Secundus. Having been seen at least twice in the past, this space hulk always preceded some kind of Tyranid incursion on nearby worlds. Banding together the Blood Drinkers and Novamarines sent 200 terminator units into the hulk to destroy everything inside. For two months the Space Marines purified the hulk of Genestealers but what waited for them in the depths of the derelict ship they did not expect. What they found was a Standard Template Construct (STC) which contained a number of lost technologies. Before handing the STC to Adeptus Mechanicus the Novamarines created this weapon, which inadvertently lead to the degradation of the schematic for it. Despite the loss AM bequeathed unto these two chapters newly commission strike cruisers for their findings.
Shame of the Deserters
This weapon was developed by the Ultramarines and forced upon the warriors of the Mortifactors, a chapter whom had abandoned a fellow chapter in the fight against Abaddon the Despoiler and the Black Legion during the 9th Black Crusade. The weapon limits the fighting abilities of the bearer to make the Space Marine using it atone for their sin of desertion through hardened battles.
Sharptooth
This weapon is fashioned to look similar to a shark mouth. The blade is serrated with a vertical column of edges that are of varying lengths and widths. The resulting wounds from these weapons are almost always fatal, even if just grazed. Created by the artificers of the Space Sharks.
Plasma Cannons
The Blood Drinker
This is one of the few fully corrupted weapons used within the Imperium. The weapon comes straight from a band of Khorne Initiates that had set up in the Eye of Terror. It was found by the Relictors on one of the lost worlds. It drains the health of the user in order to deal great damage at long range. The Relictors chapter has a strange past and is presently excommunicated from the Imperium. In M41 a Librarian, Decario, of the Relictors chapter, who were then known as the Fire Claws, along with Inquisitor De Marche lead a group of terminator assault squads onto the space hulk Captor of Sin. This hulk was occupied by Chaos Forces dedicated to Tzeentch and one of this Chaos God’s champions, the Excoriator, was on board. The Librarian and Inquisitor fought this champion whom wielded a sword containing a Greater Daemon which gave it great strength. After being mortally wounded by this champion of Chaos they managed to destroy him however Decario wanted to keep the weapon and use it against the forces of Chaos. De Marche agreed with this perspective and from then on they used the Fire Claws to scour the Eye of Terror for other relics that could be put to this purpose. When the Inquisition found out the Grey Knights were sent to kill the Inquisitor and deal with the now named Relictors when they attacked a relic holding facility set up by the Inquisition within the Eye for storing Chaos relics. It was at this point that they were excommunicated.
Might of the Executioner
This storied weapon was once used by High Executioner Fafnir Rann, the first High Executioner of the Executioners chapter. It is a powerful weapon capable of causing large scale damage over a wide area but requires high setup and tear down time and has a low fire rate. A successor chapter of the Iron Fists, the Executioners chapter is most noted for an encounter that had ramifications not just for the Imperium of Man but for all living entities within the galaxy. This event took place on the dead world of Carrion Deep, a world within the Segmentum Tempestus. After several Imperial watch towers were destroyed on the planet the Executioners were sent to investigate. When they got there they were ambushed on all sides by metallic foes that could not be killed. The battle was furious and raged on for quite a while and it ended with only a third of the Astartes sent to the world getting out alive. This was the first known encounter the Imperium had with the resurgent Necrons.
Arashi
This epic plasma cannon is one of two relics that remain of the old Storm Wardens chapter. For unknown reasons, after a certain event known as the Nemesis Incident, many of the old guard of the chapter agreed to be placed into stasis vault, have much of their fortress-monastery sealed, and their home world of Sacris declared a Forbidden World. This weapon was wielded by the most veteran marines within the chapter and was capable of unleashing massive damage on vehicles and structures. The down side is that the damage is designed only to affect these targets; enemy troops are only damaged slightly by this weapon. Why this is the case and how it was achieved is unknown.
The Emerald Death
The name of this weapon comes from mythology of the Laanah Rifts. In M38 a massive crusade was started against the xeno forces of the Hellgrammites Empire that had occupied this region of Imperial space. Of the 25 million Imperial Guard troops, two titan legions, and eight Adeptus Astartus chapters involved were the Sons of Medusa, a successor chapter of the Iron Hands. Marshaling up the entire might of the chapter, the Sons of Medusa launched an invasion into the heart of the Hellgrammite’s throne-world. Such was their dedication and determination that even when every weapon they had at their disposal was rendered useless by wear or depletion they continued their slaughter of the xenos. Finally, with half of the planet smashed into oblivion and the temples of the Hellgrimmites covered with their own blood, the Sons of Medusa withdrew. This weapon provides extra defense and lower damage resistance for high damage output with a high rate of fire.
Irongol’s Demise
This weapon was famously used to kill Ork Warboss Irongol during his WAAAGH! In the Sancta Angelis cluster. Used by a veteran marine of the 1st company of the Raptors chapter, this weapon has an extremely long range but low firing rate. Another feature of this weapon is that the damage it does ignores 60% of the armor of the target and then also has a tendency to overload the shots every so often causing extra, area based damage. This is one of few plasma cannons that does not do area based damage.
Fangs of the Mantis
This plasma cannon is named after certain aspects of the Mantis Warriors chapter. The chapter is well known for its cunning and ruthless tactics. In one such display of cunning the chapter captured one of the greatest foes the Imperium has yet faced. In M39 a cardinal named Kharfra had, secretly, created a Chaos Cult within the Adeptus Ministorum. When he was discovered he fled and left a wake of great destruction caused by his cult. The Mantis Warriors started capturing Maelstrom pirates and had their Librarians interrogate them and with this information tracked the Heretic down to the Golgothan Wastes. Over five years they hunted for him and finally found the heathen on the Dead World Parasis. Forging into Chaos warped jungles they destroyed a legion of daemons five times the side of their force before they found Kharfra and turned him over to the Ecclesiarchy.
The Black Angel
This weapon was taken from the battlefield on Archangel VII in a battle between the Dark Angels and Angles of Absolution and a group of Renegade Fallen. Suspected to have been a weapon of the Fallen, a 1st Company Angels of Absolution Terminator picked this weapon up after his own plasma cannon no longer functioned. This weapon is not very special but it can heal wounds through monomolecular matter transfer coils built into the barrel that allow for a matter stream transfer through the plasma shot’s energy stream.
Conduit to Extinction
This weapon’s name is more of a lament than a name given to it for any deeds accomplished with it. It was forged by the artificers of the Marines Errant who now face a slow and utter extinction. During 999 of M41 the Red Corsairs and Night Lords grouped up and hatched a plan to steal Astartes gene-seed in order to replenish their own forces which had been decimated during the Badab war. While a part of their forces distracted the majority of the Marines Errant chapter the other half struck at Vilamus hard and true, disabling its void shields and power systems. It was raided and most of the gene-seed stolen before the chapter knew what was really going on. Their only hope for survival now is to track down the Red Corsairs and Night Lords and recover the stolen gene-seed. The weapon has a low attack speed for high damage and massive boost to ranged combat specialty.
Fleeting Dusk
This weapon was commissioned by the Emperor himself and it is given to Chapters who are expected to go into battle against the Death Guard. Originally called the Dusk Raiders, this chapter was one of the original legions formed during M30; the XIV legion. Some speculate the reason the Emperor himself requisitioned this weapon was because the Primarch of the chapter, Mortarion, still lives and the Emperor wants to be part of an instrument that removes him from this world in penitence for not noticing the festering of Chaos within his Imperium. The weapon is fairly strong and has very few negative effects.
Spurned of Terra
This weapon was forged by the artificers of the Knights of Blood chapter after they were branded Renegades at the beginning of M41. A successor chapter of the Blood Angels, they committed so many egregious acts of violence against both enemy and foe alike that the High Lords of Terra were left no option. Like most of the Blood Angels related war gear this plasma cannon can send the bearer into a temporary bout of the Black Rage.
Bolters
The Snake
This bolter is standard issue within the Iron Snakes chapter. Capable of rapid fire, this weapon allows for even the smallest of squads to do some major damage on the front lines.
Pride of the Wolf
This unique and deadly weapon was put into great use in the Shadow Wolves chapter. A successor chapter of the Imperial Fists, this chapter, above all else, favored survival over bombastic statements of self-righteousness. This weapon is a perfect reflection of that perspective. While its base damage is nothing to yell about when used from in cover this weapon becomes extremely powerful by increasing both the defense and attack power greatly. However, for those Shadow Wolves that went out seeking fame it was also a curse due to the fact that while not in cover this weapon degrades movement speed and damage resistance.
The Miracle
While this weapon is just a standard bolter the circumstances surrounding its creation are what this weapon is named after. In the first, and only display since, of its kind, the Disciples of Caliban were formed after the Supreme Grand Master of the Dark Angels, Anaziel, requested of the High Lords of Terra that a new successor chapter be raised. It was an unprecedented act followed by yet another unprecedented act; the High Lords of Terra granted his request. This weapon was made in commemoration of this event.
Angel Fall
This powerful weapon was forged for standard use in the Angels of Vengeance chapter after the Siege of San Apolis. During this campaign the chapter took such heavy losses that they spent the next century desperately trying to recruit and increase their stock of gene-seed. This weapon was created so that they could remain effect on the battlefield with less units.
Thor’s Heraldry
This weapon was commissioned by a Chapter Master of the Storm Giants as an allegory piece to remind the Astartes of his chapter of the responsibility they upheld. While nothing special in terms of firepower this weapon can restore psyker energy occasionally.
Plague of Boros
This weapon was commissioned by one Cymar Xydias of the White Consuls in commemoration of their heavy losses at the Siege of Boros Gate. Facing a legion of Word Bearers Traitor Marines they were then forced to fight against a host of reawakened Necrons lead by the Necron Lord the Undying One. Nearly five companies were lost to this campaign including the previous Chapter Master Titus Valens.
Ending the Word
This weapon is primarily used within the Hammers of Dorn chapter, a successor chapter of the Imperial Fists. They are known to have a deep hatred for the Word Bearers Traitor Legion and will, when rumor crops up of their activities somewhere in the galaxy, investigate for their mortal foes. This weapon has high damage but also breaks from normal bolter conventions.
Alpha Predator
This weapon is employed, majorly, within the Aurora Chapter, a successor chapter of the Ultramarines. Their chapter contains more armor than any three other Adeptus Astartes chapters combined and they have become known throughout the Imperium for their vehicle heavy forces. Even so regular troops still must be maintained and since they are first and foremost an armored unit they also possess the means of dealing with enemy armor on an infantry-level scale. That is the purpose of this weapon, it does massive damage to heavily armored infantry and vehicles while damage against buildings and normal infantry is less.
Tyranid’s Folly
This weapon was largely commended for the successfully protection of Erenon, the home world of the Celestial Guard chapter. In M41 this Crimson Fists successor chapter was faced with the might and fury of the Hive Fleet Leviathan as it descended on top of their planet. The battle was pitched and the losses to the chapter were heavy but they won the day.
Bane of Eldar
This unique weapon was made famous during the daring assault on the Eldar Craftworld of Alaitoc. Vaulting their chapter into fame, the Sons or Orar were the chapter that spearheaded the assault. This weapon was wielded by a Veteran commander in the 2nd company of the chapter and with it he slew over four thousand Eldar troops during one of the heaviest assaults on the capital city of the Eldar world.
Heavy Bolters
The Selfless Ones
This weapon was commissioned in commemoration of a single Devastator Marine squad who sacrificed themselves in order to save the Doom Eagles chapter from utter destruction. When the Doom Eagles, a successor chapter of the Ultramarines, landed on Faugris what they expected to find was a Dead World. It soon became quickly apparent however that this was no such world, what they had landed on was a Necron Tomb World and they had disturbed the eternal slumber of its residents. Within hours the surface was teeming with Necrons and the Doom Eagles were hopelessly out numbered and without reinforcement. One brave squad of the 1st Veteran Company elected to cover the retreat of the rest of the chapter; a suicide mission which they accomplished with zeal. This weapon does not need to reload and has an increased firing rate.
The Lament
This weapon once was used under a different name during the Fenright Tithe Wars between M39 and M40 by the Fire Angels chapter. A successor chapter of the Ultramarines, the Fire Angels are well noted for their unusual relationship with both the Ecclesiarchy and Adeptus Sororitas. During the Tithe Wars the Fire Angels eventually found themselves on an Ecclesiarchy Shrine World called Lament. The world has been besieged by a nightmarishly strong psyker-cult named the Seven Daughters of Oblivion. These weapons were wielded by the 8th Veteran Devastator Marine Company to great effect tearing through armor of material and immaterial nature alike. For their efforts they were awarded the Order of the Martyr’s Heart. As for these weapons the technology to reproduce their anti-psyker effect was lost during the Battle for Grand Al’gul when Chaos shot down their flagship which had the STC for the weapon and all manufactured models were lost or destroyed soon after. This recreation of these weapons is now geared as an anti-armor heavy bolter.
Fury of Steel
Another chapter than has famously single handedly defended their home world from the Tyranid Hive Fleet Leviathan, the Steel Confessors chapter, successor of the Iron Hands chapter, successfully protected their home world of Kalevala from the Xeno invasion. While it cost them much their defense was attributed to a gutsy defense plan that threw everything they had at the Tyranid hoards. With calculated volleys the devastator and tactical marine squads of the most veteran companies slew scores of legions of Tyranids while assault marine squads, backed up by the mechanized units of the chapter, used precision strikes to remove Tyranid commander units from the tsunami of alien flesh. Eventually the hive fleet exhausted its supply of biomass and was crushed. These weapons need not be reloaded and have immense fire rates. However due to the modifications to make these possible the weight of the weapons was increased significantly.
Nisk the Mentor
Named after the Chapter Master of the Mentor “Legion”, this weapon is somewhat of a mystery; as is the chapter. The Mentor chapter was created to replace the now lost Star Scorpions chapter after they were lost to the Warp however the high rate of mutation in the Star Scorpions gene-seed meant that no chapter could succeed them. It is unknown where the gene-seed for the Mentors was supplied but they were instated under the same colors and number as the Star Scorpions. The technology of this weapon is curious, it allows for movement fire; something very odd for a heavy bolter.
Power of Faith
This legendary weapon was once heavily used by the Primogenitor chapter of the Ultramarines, the Genesis Chapter. It was retired from use after critical problems were found in the design after the 2nd War for Armageddon when the chapter saw its Devastator Marine squads decimated by Ork armor and heavy infantry. It focuses on lobbing light weight rounds down range at a terrifying pace, shredding regular infantry to pieces. However, these weapons were recently reinstated for use during the invasion of Hive Fleet Leviathan then the Death Strike and Genesis Chapters cleansed planets within the Ulik sector to deny their resources to the massive Hive Fleet.
Betrayal
This weapon was ordered to be created by the Chapter Master of the Avenging Sons chapter, a successor of the Ultramarines, after the 3rd Company of the chapter turned renegade. As a means for atoning for the heresy of the company and also for hunting down these heretics, this weapon was made with taking out veteran heavy infantry. As such it does the most damage to this unit type while other types see significantly reduced damage.
Legacy of Honor
This weapon is produced by the Emperor’s Shadows chapter, a successor chapter of the Iron Hands. It is given to those Astartes whom have, through their actions, shown they are most dedicated to the Imperium and worthy of the right to wield this heavy bolter. It is said to bless the bearer with increased stamina and endurance.
Curse of Blood
The inherent flaws within the Blood Angels gene-seed were not realized until well after the Horus Heresy and have been a source of great concern to Adeptus Mechanicus. So far all chapters save for one have fallen to either one or both of the Blood Angel’s crippling mutations; the Black Range and the Red Thirst. The most notorious chapter for the Red Thirst has to be the Flesh Eaters chapter. Rumored to eat their enemies after the battle has been won, they have been greatly shunned by much of the Imperium. It comes of no surprise that the chapter would end up in a situation where reinforcements from other chapters would be hard to arrange but it did occur. On the world of Golance the Flesh Eaters found themselves out-matched by an Eldar force that has taken over the planet and started using the secret weaponry stored there. After almost half of the chapter has been destroyed help arrived in the form of five immensely powerful Mentors Astartes whom changed the tide of the war and lead the Flesh Eaters to victory. This weapon, like so many others of origin from the Blood Angels and related chapters, causes a mild mutation in the bearer. This weapon, however, is the only known one to cause the Red Thirst; it will heal the bearer after every kill by absorbing the blood through a matter stream and injecting the blood, once scrubbed and engineered for the Space Marine physiology, into to the body.
Stalwart of the Legion
This weapon was temporarily produced during the latter part of M41 by the Blood Angels chapter which stood on the brink of collapse. This weapon has no negatives and is therefore very expensive to produce, however the needs were such that the Blood Angels spent considerable resources to steel their successor chapters to the upper limits in order to deal with the coming onslaught of both Chaos and Tyranid.
Piety to the Emperor
This weapon brings the truth of the God-Emperor of the Imperium into the minds of its foes in the form of bullets. As the xeno, mutant or heretic dies they are forgiven of their blasphemies. A weapon that deals extra damage to Xenos, it was primarily used by the Invaders chapter during their conquest of Craftworld Idharae. While the Eldar were no pushover the campaign would also likely have failed if the Eldar had not deleted themselves fighting off Tyranid Hive Fleet Naga just years before the Invaders struck. Survivors of this coup ended up on the ill-fated Alaitoc, which also fell to the Imperium, leaving behind the corpse space hulk of Idharae.
Bolter Pistols
Legacy of Cain
This treasure of the Imperium belonged to Ciaphas Cain, a Commissar of the Imperial Guard and a hero of the Imperium. It sent through many famous battles and the lore surrounding this weapon is massive, however there is one event in particular that ascends this weapon to legendary status. It happened between 928 and 958 of M41. A space hulk, the Spawn of Damnation, had appeared within the Viridian system and within the space of a few hours left, however this was all that was needed and a gene-stealer infestation on a near-by life boat indicated how large the Tyranid presence on that hulk was. Risking quite a lot Cain and several companies of the Reclaimers followed the Spawn of Damnation into the Warp, determined to either clean the hulk or destroy it. When they arrived they found that they had gravely underestimated the scope of the problem; the hulk was infested with legions of gene-stealers. While the attempted to make a dent in the population Cain and several other attendants were separated from the group and were cut off. They decided to lure the gene-stealers away so that the Reclaimers could reach their ships to escape and try to rendezvous with them before they pulled out. The Reclaimers had all but written off Cain and the others as dead when they appeared out of a derelict section of the hulk followed by an endless stream of gene-stealers. Cain wielded this pistol and, others have claimed with certainty, killed tens of thousands of gene-stealers with it while he helped cover their retreat.
The Ghosts of Sotha
This weapon is used exclusively by the Scythes of the Emperor chapter. This chapter has an intense hatred for the Tyranids and has been known to disobey orders to attack Tyranid Hive Fleets once they have been spotted. This hatred stems from the Second Tyranic War, Hive Fleet Kraken. During those dark days many planets were swallowed whole by the gaping maw if the Kraken. One of these planets was Sotha. Not only did they lose their home world but also their first Chapter Master to Kraken. Now the chapter functions and an Anti-Tyranid force with their weapons tuned for more damage to their mortal xeno foe.
Discontinuity
This special weapon was used by the Dark Angels successor chapter Guardians of the Covenant during a battle for an entire Imperial sub-sector against the Lelith, an extremely aggress race of xenos. While their losses were heavy the chapter successfully repulsed their advancement and sent them packing back into the void. This weapon, while having a low rate of fire, can cause confusion within the ranks of the enemy.
The Forgotten
This weapon is named after a strange happenstance in Imperial records. Used within the Rainbow Warriors chapter, it is a poke at Adeptus Ministorum for an odd discrepancy in the map of Imperial home worlds for Adeptus Astartes chapters where in place of the Rainbow Warriors chapter insignia where Prism, their home world, is located sits a “record deleted” label.
Fear of Death
This weapon not so much describes a fear of death as it describes the realities of fighting the Necrons. This is something that the Angels Revenant, an Ultramarine successor chapter, understands all too well. In M41 most of the chapter was wiped out during one of the most horrifying events in recent Imperium history. During 990 of M41 a massive Warp event that had held sway over the Orpheus Sector for more than three centuries was strangely dissipated in a massive shockwave within the Immaterium. All across the sector those individuals highly attuned with the Warp were driven insane by this event and an odd interference had taken up place rendering all communications laden with strange whispers and other static even over highly secured channels. Most troubling was that all communication with the Angels Revenant home world of Libethra has ceased; something unheard of in the history of the Imperium. It was later discovered that the Libethra system was littered with radiation and wreckage from a massive space battle and the planet of Libethra now lay wasted covered in molten lava. It was later discovered and theorized with the appearance of massive Necron Tomb ships over the world of Amarah during the Orphean War that the world had been wiped out by the Necrons whom must has sacrificed several tomb ships to penetrate the crust of Libethra to release its molten core and seal the death of everything on the world due to the determination of the Angels Revenant. This weapon greatly increases durability and endurance for lower skill in using ranged and melee weapons in addition to lower range.
Cursed of the Imperium
This weapon was forged in limited amounts by the Artificers of Adaptus Mechanicus in a rebuke of themselves for the horrid outcomes of the Cursed 21st Founding. One particularly horrible event was with the Sons of Antaeus. When they were first constituted it was noted that the Astartes of their chapter were very robust and were physically tougher than most other Astartes in the Imperium. Within time this has turned into a liability for the Imperium as the Sons of Antaeus are now known as the Death Guard Traitor Legion, having eventually succumbed, as many chapters of the Cursed Founding did, to the taint and heresy of Chaos.
The Sanguine Pistol
This weapon is named after its blood-like coloring and because it produced by the Templars of Blood, a successor chapter of the Blood Angels. It is unknown when this chapter was founded but there are some rumors that it could have been during the Cursed Founding. During that Founding the genetors of Adeptus Mechanicus had located a long lost geno-lab on the Dead World of Inculaba. From this lab they attempted to modify the gene-seed of the Imperial progenitor chapters to improve upon the physiology of the Adeptus Astartes. Some believe this is what contributed to the high chapter mortality/heresy rate from this Founding. However there were some breakthroughs and these lead many to believe that the Templars of Blood may be from that Founding. There was one other Blood Angels chapter from that Founding, the Lamenters, whom also seemed to show a reduced rate of mutations that normally inflict those of the Blood Angels lineage. This this weapon does not cause any of the mutations of the Blood Angels it does allow the bearer to heal themselves occasionally through matter reconstitution.
Absolver
This weapon was used by the Hawk Lords chapter during the 13th Black Crusade. It is well documented that Abaddon the Despoiler’s Black Legion has a very profound effect on the morale of the Space Marines, so much so that they are much easier to break. This chapter found a solution to the problem by forging many purity seals into the ceramite for these bolter pistols. As a result they hugely bolster the courage and suppression resistance of those nearby.
The Glory of Mephiston
This weapon is named after the Chief Librarian of the Blood Angels, a man whom has died and been resurrected several times according to Blood Angels mythos. His most recent miracle took place on the Hive world Hollonan. The Blood Angels sent a request for aid to the Angels Vermilion chapter, one of their successor chapters, as a splinter fleet of Kraken barred down on the planet. Along with a force of Eldar from the Craftworld Ulthwe headed by the venerable Farseer Eldrad Ulthran, the three armies ground the Tyranid splinter fleet into dust before the main body of Kraken could arrive. The Eldar, after the fighting, remained just long enough to see Mephiston pulled from a mountain of rubble miraculously alive even if gravely wounded. This weapon greatly increases the survivability of those that use it at the expense of range, damage, and movement speed.
Purge of the Mutant
This weapon helped greatly in the Eagle Warrior’s 20-year campaign to rid the Zypher subsector of the Ork WAAAGH! Arbutz which had ruled the subsector for three centuries. Does huge damage to Ork targets.
Dred A. Cannons
Hymn of Regalia
"Underneath his venerable feet laid low by his awesome power were the broken bodies of the mutant, the xenos, and the heretic. In front of him, shining brightly as a golden city lay Terra in its entire splendor. And above him, forever watchful and providing sat the God-Emperor on his Golden Throne." - Inscribed on the flash collar of this weapon.
Pius of the Great
This unique and terribly powerful weapon was crafted for the day that Alexandros the Great would rise again, be cured of his Nurgle plague and fight amongst his brothers of the Sons of Dorn in the chassis of his Dreadnought. Alexandros lead one of the greatest campaigns in the history of the Imperium that lead to the reclamation of several sectors of space around the Eye of Terror that had been occupied by Chaos ever since the millennia shortly after the Horus Heresy. He was eventually smote by a Chaos Champion of Nurgle but survived several months after being afflicted with the pestilence caused by the weapon that pierced his body. He now waits, interned within a stasis pod, for a cure to be found so that he might return to battle and restore honor to his lineage.
Repayment of Debts
This mighty Dreadnought weapon was forged by the artificers of the Brazen Minotaurs chapter and given to the Raven Guard for their help on several occasions. This weapon was given after the Raven Guard helped rescue the chapter’s Chief Librarian, Theseon, whom had been captured by the Empyrion’s Blight Chaos warband and taken to the Mortuary world of Kasharat.
Liberation Day
Almost nothing is known about this weapon or how it came to be; it is a complete unknown. However there are some theories that it may have been created and then lost by the Liberators chapter, a likewise completely unknown Astartes chapter.
Progeny of the Scar
This unique weapon was only produced within one chapter of the Astartes, the Destroyers. The Destroyers were a rare successor chapter of the White Scars but what made them rare was that they were not cultivated from the White Scars gene-seed. No one knows why or how Adeptus Mechanicus did it but they took gene-seed from the Mantis Warriors and distilled from them the White Scars genetic information. Because of this some scholars have speculated that the Destroyers were founded in the Cursed 21st Founding due to the technology required to undertake such an act and the ultimate end of the Destroyers. In M40 the Destroyers had seen some very brutal battles. On the Agri-World of Quill a massive Ork uprising had occurred. No one knew where they came from only that their numbers were some of the highest ever recorded in the history of the Imperium. With dozens of legions upon dozens of legions an Ork Warboss by the name up Tonguerippa planned on taking this world and forging a new empire for his troops. The Destroyers, now a veteran Ork extermination chapter, were called in to deal with the infestation but quickly found that these Orks, or rather this Warboss, had greater than average intelligence. To this day no one knows why but there are speculations that it was the work of the Eldar. This Ork hoard’s armor was also superior to the Destroyers but not well used and so it was not a problem initially for the Destroyers other than slowing down progress. Eventually, however, this new armor became the Destroyers downfall. This technology allowed for heavier armor to be used without restricting motion, so in effect the Orks were harder to kill and their tactics, while sloppy, were on par, if not greater, with some of the Imperium’s greatest strategists. After having marshaled the full force of the chapter, then current Chapter Master, Percus Guilen, led a ten company assault on the main base of the WAAAAGH!. This proved to be a critical mistake for within an hour three and a half companies were all that remained of that strike force. The Orks has setup huge chain cannons that fired tank rounds at high speed. These weapons quickly spelled defeat for the force of Destroyers. Sounding a bloody retreat, Guilen took stock of their situation and decided that there was only one chance; they had to sacrifice the Titan that was loaned to them by the guard forces of Quill to completely destroy the Ork strong hold and cast the WAAAGH! into disarray and hope that they had not reformed by the time another chapter arrived to finish them off; a dignified end indeed. Tasking the remaining companies and their full assortment of Dreadnoughts, Guilen took his operator force to the Titan and while the rest of the chapter distracted the Orks they marched the Titan into the sprawling Ork metropolis and began overloading the core. The last thing that Tonguerippa and the Destroyers saw was the rare sight of massive nuclear explosion from a rupturing Titan power core.
Tyranid’s Kismet
This weapon is primarily used within the Black Guard chapter, a successor chapter of the Raven Guard. They cemented themselves into Imperial history when they took on a splinter fleet of Kraken and came out with minimal casualties on Doom Gorge. This weapon does extra damage to Tyranids.
Venomous Fang
This unique weapon is a famous product of the Viper Legion, a little known Astartes chapter. Forged through unknown means each bullet that is sped through the firing block is impregnated with a highly corrosive toxin that causes huge neural damage to the target causing both physical and mental damage as well as hampering psyker and psychic abilities.
Martyrdom
This dreadnought weapon is currently in use by the final remaining members of the Black Consuls chapter. A primogenitor successor chapter of the Ultramarines their chapter was officially declared destroyed in M41. While no one knows how the White Consuls suspect their brother chapter was wiped out by a large force of Word Bearer Chaos Marines. The Black Consuls were known for their excessive hate of the Word Bearers and their insistence at fighting them where ever they popped up at. Some Black Consuls remain, however, willing to fight to the death so that in their martyrdom the chapter’s history will become legendary.
Death to the Heathen
This unique weapon was forged by the artificers of 19 Astartes chapters and given to the Chapter Master, Konvak Lann, of the Vorpal Swords. The gift was in recognition for their vindication and for honoring the losses that all 20 of the chapters had sustained during the Abyssal Penitent Crusade forced on them by the now excommunicated Saint Basillius. Basillius, after the Crusade had conclude, was charged as a false idol by the 20 Chapters, known collectively as the Judged, he had consigned to the Eye of Terror in penance for heresy. The Vorpal Swords Chapter Master immediately upon the completion of the Crusade petitioned the Ecclesiarchy to remove Basillius from Sainthood and demanded that he be executed; they acquiesced and he was killed and then his bones, scriptures related to his worship and tens of thousands of his worshippers were loaded onto a bulk-freighter and fired into the nearest star.
Vanguards of Praeses
The Marines Exemplar chapter are one of 20 Astartes chapters listed in a tome called the Mythos Angelica Mortis known as as Astartes Praeses. These Space Marine chapters are tasked with watching over the Eye of Terror and dealing with Chaos Forces that attempt to leave the Eye on raiding crusades. The Marines Exemplar chapter is most noted for its extensive efforts during the 13th Black Crusade in driving back the Black Legion and their leader, Abaddon the Despoiler. During the fight the Thunderhawk of the Chapter Master, Maxim Absolon, was shot down in battle and he was listed as missing in action though most of the chapter believes he yet lives, fighting behind enemy lines.
Sniper Rifles
The Eternal
This sniper rifle is all that is left of the Blades Eternal chapter. In M37, after Warp Storm Dionys, dozens of Space Marine home worlds were plagued by mutation and Chaos cultism. No fewer than thirty chapters were implicated by the Elder Saint Basillius as being tainted by the Warp and he declared that these chapters should be expunged from the Imperium by any means. The Judged, as this group of chapters collectively came to be known as, propositioned the Elder for a penitent crusade to purify their chapters; against all odds Basillius agreed. Soon after a large line of Astartes battle-barges and strike cruisers lined up and entered into the Cadian Gate; the portal into the maw of Hell as it was described by some scholars. The immense Space Marine fleet did not get far for waiting for them on the other side of the gate, almost as it they knew the Astartes were coming, was a gigantic Chaos Marine fleet. The forces of the Abyssal Crusade were broken and scattered throughout the Eye of Terror even before the crusade had begun. Ten chapters were never heard from again, including the Blades Eternal, while the other twenty saw and experienced horrors the likes of which few Astartes ever live to see. After the crusade was completed the Chapter Master of the Vorpal Blades charged Saint Billius with consorting with Chaos after having found evidence that someone within the Ecclesiarchy had slipped information to several Chaos Undivided Lords that a large Space Marine strike force was headed into the Eye of Terror. The Ecclesiarchy, after a swift investigation, executed the Saint and loaded his bones, any texts he had authored, and thousands of his followers onto a barge and sent it into the nearest sun for their heresy.
Sting of the Wasp
This weapon hails from the Yellow Jackets chapter. Founded during the Second Founding they are notorious for their hit and run tactics and also their heroic stand against the massive Ork WAAAGH! of Warlord Graznik. The chapter is lauded for their service during the final years of the Horus Heresy when they harshly dealt with many planetary governors whom had gone to the forces of Chaos, making a name for themselves and also ensuring that planetary Governments stayed loyal to the Imperium.
X122A9 Mark IX Assault Sniper Rifle
This long-winded named weapon is a relatively new creation from the Blood Raven’s Artificers. With the help of Cyrus they have crafted a weapon suited to combating the Tyranids through use of excessive force. It was also created with a built in explosive shot discharger however an error with the manufacturing design left this component only partially functional, it can only fire randomly. Still many chapters of the Imperium placed thousands of requests for these weapons as the prototype performed marvelously against the enemies of the Imperium during the opening days of the Tyranids during advent of Kraken. The weapon was heavily used for these reasons during the tri-fronted era of M41 where not only did the Imperium face the 13th Black Crusade but also Tyranid Hive Fleet Leviathan as well as the Third Sphere Expansion of the Tau Empire. A notorious chapter called the Knights of the Raven was present on all three fronts. Two companies were sent to aid the Ultramarine chapters engaging the Tau, seven companies were sent to deal with the Black Crusade, and the other fifteen companies of the chapter were pledged to stopping Leviathan. This chapter outfitted every Astartes with this sniper rifle and it was to great effect. Within five weeks the Tau Empire was defeated and their expansion stopped, the two companies sent then joined up with the group dealing with the Tyranids along with the rest of the Ultramarine successor chapters. It would be the only easy victory for the Imperium that year.
Betrayer’s Hunter
This weapon was given to all scout marines whom were employed by the Imperium to hunt down Officio Assassinorum Grand Maser Drakan Vangorich after, in M32, he had all of the High Lords of Terra assassinated in what later became known as the Beheading. Participating within this operation was the Sable Swords chapter. This unknown chapter has conflicting founding reports; some indicate that the chapter was created in M41 after the Astral Knights sacrificed their chapter to stop a Necron World Engine while other reports of activity refute this and place their founding in the Thirty Second Millennium.
Fury of the Enlightened
This is a very special weapon crafted by the master artificers of a secretive branch of Adeptus Mechanicus that works closely with the Adeptus Sororitas. The Sisters of Battle wanted a sniper rifle that could act as an assault weapon with a higher rate of fire but retain the precision and deadliness of a sniper rifle. This is the result. While it is immensely heavy and requires setting up, the weapon has extreme range and can file rapidly.
Blessed of the Imperium
This weapon was gifted to the Iron Champions and Executioners as a result of the Executioners role in the Plague of Unbelief during M36. The Executioners also were granted the rare honor of having a successor chapter created from their own gene-seed, this chapter was the Iron Champions.
Sight of the Eagle
A weapon with very high accuracy, this sniper rifle hails from the Dark Eagles chapter whom are suspected to be a successor chapter of the Raven Guard.
Cost of War
This is a very unique sniper rifle. Instead of firing the normal rounds it fires large, explosives infused rounds that detonate on impact with the target and cause area based damage. This weapon was used by the Marines Malevolent chapter who are notorious for completing their missions at any cost, even at the expense of the citizens of the Imperium or even Astartes units themselves. They have been censured twice by the Inquisition. The first was in M41 for their participation in the Macharian Heresy after Solar Macharian, a High Lord of Terra, was mysteriously killed after returning from the Macharian Crusade which saw 1000 worlds join the Imperium in only seven standard years; a feat not the likes of had been seen since the Emperor’s own Great Crusade. The second was during the 13th Black Crusade when the chapter launching attacks that sacrificed tens of thousands of civilian lives.
Final Lull
This weapon was created and dedicated to the Marines Vindicant, a chapter that fell while protecting a critical munitions factory on the world of Vorlinghast. In M41 the munitions facilities on the planet went silent. The Departmento Munitorum was swift to act and sent a scouting party to the world to see what was going on; the report was worse than anyone dared fear, the planet had fallen to a warp plague. In order to resecure the planet the entirety of the Marines Vindicant chapter were called in. Once on the surface the Astartes faced heavier than expected resistance, there seemed to be plague zombies everywhere. On top of this a new horror revealed itself; the Death Guard Chaos Marines were present on the planet along with a host of daemon Plaguebearers. Faced with this new threat, the commander requisitioned reinforcements as they fought to hold off a large scale assault. By the time the reinforcements arrived all of the remaining Marines Vindicant Astartes has been infected by the War Plague which was apparently so virulent that not even the Astartes hyper-evolved immune system could hold back for long. Before anything could be conducted a Nurgle Daemon Prince arose out of the ground and assaulted the Astartes. After taking heavy losses the commander in charge called upon the strike cruisers to blast the Hellspawn back from whence it came and naught but a smoking crater of effluence was left of the daemon. There was no hope of saving themselves now that they were all infected and so the pledged to fight to their death against the hordes of Chaos to reclaim the munitions factory. Against all the odds they succeeded and for their tribulations were granted the Empror’s Peace.
Rapture
This unique sniper rifle was created and used during the Orask Wars in M41. On the Feudal World of Orask the Imperial Guard faced off against a splinter fleet of Leviathan that had become disoriented and twisted by its passage through the Ghoul Stars, an area known to be home to an immense empire of Necrons known as the Flayed ones whom have cravings for flesh. It could be that some Necron weapon or energy caused the telepathic link between this splinter fleet and the main body to become disrupted and thus sending it far off course. Whatever the case may be mutated and oddly behaving Tyranids swarmed the world and the Imperial Guard had to call upon the Adeptus Astartes for aid. In response the Imperium sent in several companies of the Red Talons chapter, progenitor successor chapter of the Iron Hands as well as a Titan. This sniper rifle was given to all of the scout marines and while the casualties on the planet were high the extremely small force was able to fend off hundreds of thousands of Tyrnaids. The weapon is a master-craft artifact and as such has no known negative effects. Very few master crafts of this caliber exist in the universe with the technology to create them having been lost ages ago.
Missile Launchers
Hellfire of Orpheus
This highly advanced weapon is produced by the Praetors of Orpheus, a successor chapter of the Ultramarines created in the Second Founding. Their techmarines and artificers have some of the most advanced facilities in the Imperium, making their wargear highly sought after. This particular missile launcher is extremely powerful and accurate against all targets, something that has not been seen in any other weapon of this type.
Purgatory Pyre
This weapon was used during the Second War for Armageddon by the Purgators. Tuned to deal more damage to Ork targets, this weapon spelled doom to many Ork vehicles and heavy troops. Out of all of the other chapters involved in that war, the Purgators had the least casualties.
Last Breath
This weapon was created to commemorate the Purple Stars chapter. It was through their sacrifice that the Imperium learned that Abaddon the Despoiler was planning a massive assault that would become the 13th Black Crusade.
Legionnaire
This solid missile launcher was designed by the artificers of the Red Legion, a relatively unknown chapter of the Space Marines. It was originally produced to deal with a massive Eldar war party that had attacked their home world of Oxatan in M38.
Purge of Trantarion
This is a weapon of the Red Scimitars chapter created to honor the fallen dead during the Battle of Trantarion Station in M41. Chaos Space Marines of the Angels of Pain renegade chapter assaulted the planet in hopes of conquering it for the forces of Chaos. The Red Scimitars managed to defeat and repel the attack in a few days however they lost the war when, as an act of finality, the Renegade chapter launched a wave of seismic missiles and virus bombs at the planet which rendered in uninhabitable for centuries.
Destructa
This missile launcher was used during the Tartarus crusade by the Astartes of the Blood Ravens. Tuned by the Imperial Guard Techpriests these weapons were modified to do extreme damage to Orc targets and also be highly accurate against vehicles and structures.
Wings of Sanguinius
This weapon was created by the techmarines of the Red Wings chapter, a successor of the Blood Angels. This chapter suffers greatly from both the Black Rage and Red Thirst, more so than most other successor chapters of the Blood Angels. This weapon, however, does not cause either within the wielder.
Bastion of Righteousness
This weapon is a sacred treasure of the Knights Unyielding. A chapter of the Astartes Praeses, the group of Astartes chapters that guard the Eye of Terror, they are known to plaster their power armor and weapons with purity seals and oath papers. This weapon is a master crafted missile launcher created by their most self-righteous artificer, Babus. It was said that after he created this master work in M35 that he fell over dead after claiming he would not be able to best this weapon in his lifetime. This weapon adds tremendous amounts of courage to the bearer and makes them almost immune to suppression and knockback as well as giving the bearer greater stamina.
Lord of Death
A relic of the Death Knights chapter this weapon was constructed through unknown means and is suspected to have originated from before the Great Crusade. Over the millennia it has be modified as required and currently supports the modifications required to make it more deadly against Tyranid targets. It is also loaded with warheads that contain a caustic chemical that will eat through any substance, causing damage over an extended period of time.
Savior
This weapon was handed down to the Masters of Protelus for their role in protecting the Salamander home world, Nocturnal, from a Tyranid infested space hulk known as Internment of the Damned in M39.
Terminator Power Fists
Arrogance of the Faithful
This weapon is a reminder to the Adeptus Astartes that fervent worship and fanaticism will lead to ruin. The Hospitallers were once a loyalist chapter of the Imperium. Taking on the name of an ancient sect of religious warriors they had completely devoted themselves to the idea of the God-Emperor of Adeptus Ministorum, more commonly known as the Ecclesiarchy, the official state church of the Imperium which views the Emperor as their deity. It is this belief that led to their fanaticism. During the Twelfth Black Crusade the Hospitallers were unleashed against the Black Legion. In the start things went as planned and the Black Legion was being pushed back on the front with the Hospitallers however as the war wore on and the contact with Chaos started corrupting their fellow Astartes the Hospitallers started fighting with their fellow chapters when they believed corruption had occurred, even in the smallest amount branding them traitors to the God-Emperor and cleansing entire companies of Astartes who were not corrupted along with those that were. It was this that lead to their demise as the Black Legion capitalized on their breach of vigilance against them to strike a devastating blow by sending a daemon prince of Nurgle into the camp of the Hospitallers where it exploded, corrupting everything within and rendering more than 70% of the chapter corrupted. Forced to fight themselves the chapter was destroyed from within and without.
Blitzkrieg
This weapon was manufactured by the Halo Dragons loyalist chapter while they participated in the Zeist campaign in M41 when the Tau empire initiated a new sphere expansion campaign. The weapon does massive damage and allows the bearer to move very quickly allowing them to mow over large forces of enemies easily.
Hit and Run
This weapon takes notes from the Legion of the Night loyalist chapter who prefer to use armor transports along with tactical marine squads to preform insurgency styled strikes on targets for great effect. This weapon has moderate damage but allows quick movement speed and increased survivability while foregoing the usual vehicle stun abilities of such weapons.
Adulation
This weapon is named after the Adulators chapter. Unlike most Astartes chapters the Adulators strictly adhere to the Ecclesiarchy’s mythos of the Emperor and are said to deploy propaganda units when they enter non-believers territory and extinguish the lives of the enemies of the Imperium with extreme prejudice.
Black Curse
This terminator fist hails from the Exsanguinators chapter, a successor chapter of the Blood Angels. Like the Flesh Eaters chapter, this chapter is heavily afflicted by the Black Rage. This weapon causes a new level of the Black Rage in its bearers, a full on infliction of the Black Rage. No one can understand why this weapon in particular inflicts the full berserk-inducing flaw on its wearers while other such artifacts do not and no amount of sealing has lessened the effects.
Hellspawn
This weapon was named after a creature of Chaos that was discovered during a join mission between the Dark Angels and the chapter that made this weapon, the Persecutors of Darkness. As part of the Unforgiven this chapter headed the call of the Dark Angels, its progenitor, in tracking down one of the more infamous Fallen. They hunted this Fallen agent to the lonely planet of Sarsacath in the out reaches of the Imperium, however what they found on the planet was much more dangerous than this Fallen agent. The two chapters found that this planet was a Chaos spawning pit for daemons the likes they had never seen recorded in any of the Imperium’s records. Hideous and twisted half-mutant, half-daemon monstrosities, daemon possessed Eldar and Dark Eldar, even some strange creates that looked as if they were genetically engineered from the genes of all of the known races occupied the surface. On the lookout for their prey but also monitoring and recording these new Chaos monstrosities they spired the broken and shredded body of their prey at the feet of a humongous creature that seemed to be a mixture of Ork and Carnifex genes. It had ripped the Fallen into dozens of pieces and was feasting on its internal organs when it noticed the five hundred humans standing in the distance horrified at what they saw. Those that survived the encounter dubbed this creature the Hellspawn. It has since been seen a few times throughout the Imperium, in its wake it leaves nothing but destruction, being seemingly indestructible.
Eye of Khorne
This weapon was created to commemmerate the sacrifice of the fifth company of the Excoriators, a loyalist Astartes chapter. In M41 an ancient comet known as the Keeler Comet passed by Certus-Minor, the Imperial cemetery world. This comet originates from the Eye of Terror and with its passing brings the agents of the Blood God, the Cholercaust, to inflict his torture on anything in the path of this blood-red comet. After sending word for aid over a wipe spread area the fifth company prepared for their martyrdom when no response was received and their chapter’s Battle Barge Certius was delayed by strange Warp Storms. The entire company was destroyed, though their gene seed was saved when the Angelica Mortis was sent away by Corpus-Captain Zachariah Kersh. The Cholercaust forces did not have much time for ritual celebration, however, as a strange fortress monastery and Astartes appeared and bombed the Chaos warriors back into the warp along with their ill-fated comet and war fleet. The Astartes claimed themselves to be the Legion of the Damned, the remnants of a Cursed Founding chapter called the Fire Hawks.
Hand of the Damned
This weapon is used and created by the Fire Hawks, now known as the Legion of the Damned, an excommunicated Twenty First Founding Astartes chapter. They are a very mysterious war band, they tend to show up when things look the darkest for the Imperium and Space Marines are about to be overrun by their foes. They also suffer from a strange warp affliction that deteriorates their physical being but as they are broken down they gain ever greatening power over the Immaterium. Some reports state that near the end of their lives their power far exceeds that of even the most powerful Librarians within the Imperium. This weapon allows for the bearer to channel the Immaterium itself into its strikes for greatly enhanced damage and other strange powers.
Crimson Psyker
This weapon comes from the Crimson Shades, a chapter notable for their breach of the Codex Astartes. While their Librarians are fielded in the same roles as most Astartes Chapters the process of training of their Librarians is somehow different from most and produces very power psykers. Reports of psykers as strong as two or three normal Imperial Librarians have been reported on battle fields which the Crimson Shades are participating on. This weapon is one of their fabled Librarian-Terminator weapons though it has been modified by various chapters so that it can be used by any Astartes.
Scythe of Terror
This terminator fist is created by the Crimson Scythes chapter, one of the twenty chapters responsible for monitoring the Eye of Terror as the Astartes Praeses. Over the centuries the chapters of the Praeses have been finding that their gene seed is beginning to corrupt from the constant contact with the Warp and influences of Chaos. No measures are being taken to prevent the fall of these chapters and most have accepted their inevitable fate as their price for loyalty. This corruption is most pronounced within the Crimson Scythes whom have regular contact with several warbands of Chaos in the eternal struggle against the corrupted forces of the Warp. This weapon is able to harness the Warp and use it to create a massive psyker explosion that can level an entire region of foes.
Thunder Hammer & Storm Shield
Astral Shield
This powerful hammer shield combo was created by the Astral Fists chapter in M41 when they were ordered to attack the Echidna splinter fleet. This weapon is designed to enhance defense and improve damage against Tyranid foes but due to this its heft is greatly increased leading to the nickname “The Bulldozer” due to the high defensive rating but extremely slow movement the bearer enjoys.
Odin’s Hammer
This weapon was specially crafted for the assault on the Revenant Rex, an Ork infested Space Hulk, by the Angels Eradicant loyalist chapter. Sadly they under estimated the strength of the Ork infestation and while this weapon did its job it was not powerful enough defensively and this oversight allowed over 80% of the chapter’s sent forces to be killed before they cleared the hulk.
Fall of the Gryphonne
This anti-Tyranid weapon is made by the Knights of Gryphonne, a loyalist Astartes chapter. They have become increasingly an anti-Tyranid fighting force when in M41 Hive Fleet Leviathan destroyed their home world. This now Fleet-based chapter follows reports of Tyranid sightings around the Imperium to exact their revenge on their xeno foe.
Storm of Purging
This weapon is manufactured by the Storm Callers, a loyalist chapter of unknown founding and ancestry. The chapter was almost ripped in two in M37 when the chapter became embroiled in a civil war between traitors to the Imperium who became corrupted by Chaos and the loyalists during the chapter’s push into the Taninim Expanse. The war was brutal and called back visions of the Horus Heresy in the memories of many in the Imperium, in the end the loyalists prevailed.
The Meatgrinder
This weapon was created by the Golden Halos loyalist chapter for their participation in the decades-long siege of Nectocalyx which was also known as the Meatgrinder due to the number of deaths that were being generated. This very powerful weapon allowed this chapter to stand out with the lowest number of casualties through increased defense and quick movement speed. However it lessens damage output and sight range.
Warp Bourn
These weapons are the only remaining relics of the Fists of Olchis loyalist chapter who were sent into the Eye of Terror as part of the Judged. They never returned from the penitent crusade. Some suspect that they were either destroyed by Chaos or engulfed by the Warp and may one day return alongside the forces of Chaos to exact revenge for the injustice that had been visited upon them by the heretic Saint Basillius.
Doomrippa
This weapon was created by the Heralds of Vengeance, a loyalist Astartes chapter. In M39 they were wiped out by a massive Ork WAAAAAGH! led by warboss Jugganaught whom the chapter had hjad a long and bloody history with. He had led five other WAAAAGH!’s against the home world of the Heralds of Vengeance but he had never been able to overtake the chapter. However this time was different, the warboss managed to field a force ten times larger than any he had before and outnumbered the Astartes seven to one. The battle was over in a matter of days, the Orks were victorious and now a new Orkish empire had emerged to threaten nearby Imperium controlled planets. The name of the weapon came from the insignia of this chapter, a scythe.
Golden Hammer
This weapon is made by the Golden Gryphons chapter. When they head into battle the light emitted from the massive terminator squads that this chapter fields is enough to temporarily blind their enemies and they use this tactic to great effect by starting battles with the sun at their backs. They have even been known to postpone assaults just to take advantage of this tactic.
Hammer of Grief
This weapon is made by the Grief Bringers loyalist chapter. There are few of these weapons available due to the recent depletion of the chapter against a Warp race known as the Enslavers who attacked Valhall II. An Inquisitor lead the chapter into battle against these creatures and heavy losses were sustained for their victory. They immediately headed to another planet, Delta Khomeini V to deal with a powerful rouge psyker but had to requisition several squads of Ogryns and a Squat engineer from the Imperial Guard to reinforce the poorly numbered Space Marine chapter.
Defiance of the Kraken
In M41 Hive Fleet Kraken rolled through the Imperium, casting numerous worlds into death through mutation. There were many worlds that the Imperium declared unsalvageable and so no resources were sent to protect them. However there were a few chapters that did not agree and attempted to save worlds that would have otherwise been abandoned to the gaping maw of the Tyranid Hive Fleet. The Knights of Eternity were one such chapter. They rode off into battle to try and save several planets nearby their own subsector however they were never heard from again. Many assume the chapter was completely destroyed by the might of the Kraken.
